    Abstract:

In this paper, using the in-situ nano-indentation device (SPM/SEM hybrid system) to test the micro-mechanical properties of γ′ phase and eutectic γ′ phase which along <001> direction of directionally solidified nickel-base super-alloy. The hardness and modulus of the eutectic γ′ is higher than γ′ phase. For the specimen ST (without aging treatment), the elastic modulus and hardness of the γ′ phase respectively is 110.7GPa and 1.45GPa, the elastic modulus and hardness of the eutectic γ′ phase respectively is 171.2GPa and 3.98GPa; for the specimen W-1000 (aging 1000hours), the elastic modulus and hardness of the γ′ phase respectively is 105.4GPa and 1.35GPa, the elastic modulus and hardness of the eutectic γ′ phase respectively is 161.5GPa and 3.85GPa. After long-term high-temperature aging without loading, the change of the micro-mechanical properties of γ′ phase and eutectic γ′ phase which along <001> direction of directionally solidified nickel-base super-alloy is not apparent. Meanwhile the results of the FEM are in good agreement with the results of the experiments.
