Abstract

This paper provides a brief overview for nonexperts of some of the highlights in the development of the theory of weak interactions during the past century.

This paper will appear as a chapter in the book "100 Years of Subatomic Physics" edited by Ernest Henley, to be published by World Scientific Publishing.
