Theoretical study of ground state properties of odd-A Cu isotopes in an analytical approach

Copper isotopes have been studied within various theoretical approaches, including the Shell model. Here, we describe their static properties using a new analytical approach. In the proposed model, we consider odd-A Cu isotopes as closed-shell nuclei plus one proton outside the Z=28 shell gap. We calculate their static properties such as ground state energies, electric quadrupole moments and charge radii. The obtained results show good agreement with the experimental data, thus suggesting that our approach can be applicable to similar isotopic chains.
