Synthesis and properties of axially substituted zirconium(IV) and hafnium(IV) phthalocyanines with organic ligands
Abstract
Water-soluble phthalocyaninato zirconium(IV) and hafnium(IV) complexes have been synthesized for the first time. An increased solubility in comparison to PcZrCl2 and PcHfCl2 was caused by the introduction of gallic, 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic (chromotropic), and 5-sulfosalicylic acids in the axial position. The new compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, IR, UV-vis and elemental analysis.
