    Abstract:

A brush may begin translational and rotational motion when placed on a vibrating horizontal surface. In this paper, we analysis the causes of the movement, the trajectories, and how the parameters such as the vibrating amplitude and frequency influence the motion of the brush. With adequate understanding of the rule behind its motion, we manage to control a brush’s motion effectively.
