Singapore — A Special Place in My Heart

Singapore occupies in my life and in my heart, a special place. It was my first ambassadorial posting. I was the first ambassador of Ukraine in residence to the Republic of Singapore. Our six-person strong team with three diplomats, including the ambassador was assigned to start from scratch, the relationship with the country which was also, if asked to be described in one word, could have been defined as the first — in effectiveness of the economic development, organisation of the business activities, functioning of the government, and meeting the basic needs of the population of the island state.
