Thermal-structural Coupling and Fatigue Analysis on the Steam Explosion Equipment Based on ANSYS Workbench

A steam explosion equipment with double self-tight sealing structure was designed in this paper. A steam explosion equipment including a explosion tank and a buffer tank. Material of the steam explosion equipment is S30408. The saturated steam pressure of explosion tank and buffer tank is 1.45MPa and 0.4MPa, respectively. Thermal-structural coupling analysis on the steam explosion equipment based on ANSYS Workbench software, the distribution of stress is obtained, and the maximum stress is 163.98MPa. Thermal-structural coupling analysis on the elliptical head and the feed inlet cylinder connection regions, and get the curve of maximum stress varies with different chamfering. Considering the maximum stress and the manufacturing cost to determine the connection regions' chamfering is 20mm, and the maximum stress is 132.06MPa. Fatigue analysis on the steam explosion equipment with chamfering of 20mm, the permission cycle times of steam explosion equipment is 1.19 × 105.
