Nano-sized cobalt oxide particles exhibit unique and fascinating physical, chemical and anti-microbial activity owing to their large surface to volume ratio. The study of metal oxide nanoparticles interaction with pathogenic microorganisms is great importance for various biomedical applications. The main purpose of this work is to study the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal behavior of cobalt oxide (CO₃O₄) nanoparticles against gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial strains and different fungi. The structure and morphology of CO₃O₄ nanoparticles were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and UV-Visible Spectroscopy, respectively. The CO₃O₄ nanoparticles showed a significant anti-bacterial activity against two gram-positive bacteria, Staphylococcusaureus (G$+$), Streptococcus mutans (G$+$), and two gram-negative bacteria, Klebsilla pneumonia (G$-$), E. coli (G$-$), and it shows a good anti-fungal activity against the two different fungal i.e., Aspergillus flavus (F) and Aspergillus niger (F), at different solvents. It was noted that synthesized CO₃O₄ nanoparticles exhibited the solvent-dependent anti-bacterial activity against all tested bacterial strains. CO₃O₄ NPs could be employed effectively for anti-microbial applications.

The zinc oxide, silver particles and the nanocomposite Ag-ZnO were prepared in an easy, fast and environmentally friendly nanoscale method, where these nanomaterials were prepared from nitrates using plant leaf extract Albizia lebbeck, and this environmentally friendly method is safe, nontoxic and nonharmful to the environment, it is a system that is not only cost-effective, but also simple to use and efficient. The reduction reaction can regulate the features and qualities of the resultant chemicals. The researchers used a variety of methods to diagnose and investigate the properties of these nanomaterials, including scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results showed the formation of zinc oxide and silver in the form of nanoparticles with good properties, as well as the formation of the nanocomposite Ag-ZnO, and element analysis EDX, and infrared FT-IR, and the results showed the formation of zinc oxide and silver in the form of nanoparticles with good properties, and the results also showed the growth of Ag particles on the surface of the reduced zinc oxide and formation of nanocomposite Ag-ZnO. The photocatalytic degradation of Cibacron Brilliant Yellow 3G-P (CB) dye in the presence of visible light was investigated using Ag-ZnO nanostructures as a photocatalyst. About 1g/L of Ag-ZnO with 20ppm of the dye produces a greater efficiency in the photocatalysis of the dye in its aqueous solution. The influence of the catalyst amount was explored within the quantities (0.2–0.4–0.6–0.8–1.0–1.2–1.4g/L) of the components affecting the photo-smashing process to evaluate the best weight which was 1(g). A photosynthesis ratio was calculated using HCL and NaOH to modify the pH of solutions at a concentration of 5ppm, $\mathrm{\text{pH}}=2$, 4, 6, 8 and 10. It was also discovered that the acidic function 10 was the best function for breaking down the dye with a 99.1% success rate, and that the shattering reaction followed the kinetics of the first order (Pseudo first), with five consecutive reuses of the best catalyst agents in breaking down the dye Ag-ZnO, was also investigated. After 120min, Ag doping ZnO with 10% loading showed photocatalytic elimination of about 93%. and the impact of Ag-ZnO nanocomposite on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria was investigated, which were utilized as illustrative examples of the cream-negative bacterium and the positive bacteria, respectively. The findings indicated that the Ag-ZnO nanocomposite had a high rate of success in eradicating and destroying these germs, demonstrating the viability of using a nanoscale solution to sanitize and eradicate microorganisms.

The synthesis and biological studies of a series of Pd(II)dipyrrinato complexes are reported. The thiogalactosyl and/or oligoethyleneglycol moieties were linked with themeso-aryl rings of the Pd(II)dipyrrinato complexes. The Pd(II)dipyrrinato complexes were characterized by MASS, IR, UV-Vis, and NMR spectroscopic techniques. Single crystal X-ray structure of the homoleptic Pd(II)dipyrrinato complex (Pd1) revealed typical square planar geometry around the metal center. The anti-bacterial studies of Pd(II) dipyrrinato complexes were performed on theM. Tuberculosis H37Rv and M. Bovis BCG strains and complex Pd4 showed excellent anti-TB activity with MIC values of 25 $\mu$M and 12.5 $\mu$M, respectively. The ease of synthesis and good MIC values of Pd(II)dipyrrinato complexes make them promising candidates for anti-TB activity.

In this study, silver nanoparticles were synthesized using sun-mediated aqueous extract of the stem, flower and leaf of the plant Thymus linearis. The effect of sunlight on extract absorbance is measured using UV–Vis spectroscopy. The resultant nanoparticle F-Ag–NPs, L-Ag–NPs, S-Ag–NPs were characterized using modern techniques including UV–Vis spectroscopy, ATR-FTIR, Zeta potential, Zeta size analyzer, XRD and SEM. The reaction takes place in presence of sunlight and the color changes from light yellow to red finally, dark brown was observed indicating the completion of the reaction. In the case of Flower extract, F-Ag–NPs produced maximum absorbance at a higher concentration of AgN${\mathrm{\text{O}}}_3$ with lambda max 403, and 405 nm at 5 mM and 10 mM respectively. In the case of stem and leaves extract, maximum absorbance was seen at a low concentration of AgN${\mathrm{\text{O}}}_3$ with lambda max range from 391 nm to 402 nm and 409–425 nm respectively. The ATR-FTIR spectrum confirms the presence of capping agents which are complemented by a negative zeta potential value. The Zeta sizer revealed the diameter (d-nm) of F-Ag–NPs, L-Ag–NPs, S-Ag–NPs, 73.26, 59.26 and 51.32 respectively. The Ag–NPs also showed anti-bacterial, DDPH, and ABTS activity.

Antibacterial treatment has grown difficult due to the increasing growth in bacterial infections, as well as their tolerance to most first-line antibiotics. This is a severe danger to the world’s human health in the 21st century, necessitating further research to identify drugs with improved antibacterial effects and broad-spectrum functions. This study aimed to discover anti-bacterial agents through the molecular docking and in silico approach. Most responsive thirty (32) compounds on UPLC-Q-TOF/MS analysis were selected from our previous report to get the hit compound(s) against inhibition of cell wall synthesis, inhibition of protein synthesis, interference with nucleic acid synthesis, inhibition of a metabolic pathway, inhibition of membrane function and inhibition of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthase. From the molecular docking results, we afforded six compounds for cell wall synthesis protein, four compounds for protein synthesis protein, five for nucleic acid synthesis protein, three for metabolic pathway protein, four for membrane function protein and three for ATP synthase protein which eventually undergoes the pharmacokinetic and drug-likeness properties to obtain lead compound(s). Finally, we discovered that compounds Turpinionosides B, Polydatin, Ledebouriellol, and Pterodontoside A have the strongest binding interactions with cell wall synthesis, inhibition of protein synthesis and inhibition of metabolic pathway synthesis, interference with nucleic acid synthesis and inhibition of ATP synthase, inhibition of membrane function proteins, respectively. These compounds have the potential to become an anti-bacterial therapeutic candidate due to their promising pharmacological properties.
