The theory of free Majorana–Weyl spinors is the prototype of conformal field theory in two dimensions in which the gravitational anomaly and the Weyl anomaly obstruct extending the flat space–time results to curved backgrounds. In this paper, we investigate a quantization scheme in which the short distance singularity in the two-point function of chiral fermions on a two-dimensional curved space–time is given by the Green’s function corresponding to the classical field equation. We compute the singular term in the Green’s function explicitly and observe that the short distance limit is not well-defined in general. We identify constraints on the geometry which are necessary to resolve this problem. On such special backgrounds, the theory has locally $c=\frac{1}{2}$ conformal symmetry.

Cancer is a disease that is extremely lethal and dangerous to its patients. This study suggests that blood particles containing gold can control and decimate it because these particles have a large atomic size, which raises the temperature and helps to control cancer cells (malignant tumors). The current exploration is eager to deal with a 2D mixed convection flow through blood heat diffusion, which conveys the blood fluid (Williamson fluid) through the use of gold substances from a moving curved surface. The flow problem is represented by curvilinear coordinates. Magnetic interaction with radiation is also induced. The method of similarity parameters is used to convert the Williamson model’s partial differential equation into nonlinear ordinary differential equations and utilized the bvp4c solver to find dual solutions. Sketches are used to convey numerical results for velocity distribution, the friction factor, and heat transfer with temperature profile. The results indicate that the blood flow interrupts, while the temperature accelerates due to the magnetic field. In addition, the volume fraction enhances the temperature and decelerates the blood velocity.

This study explores the effects of thermal and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) on Powell–Eyring fluid with the Cattaneo–Christov heat flux over a curved surface. The mathematical framework regarding the physical problem turn out to a set of nonlinear partial differential equation. The set of governing equations are first reduced into nonlinear ordinary differential equations via appropriate transformations and then analytical solutions of resulting nonlinear differential equations have been obtained by optimal homotopy asymptotic method. The influence of involved parameters such as magnetic parameter, fluid parameter, thermal relaxation parameter, curvature parameter, relaxation parameter, Grashof number, material parameter and Prandtl number are discussed and analyzed in tabular as well as in pictorial form. Finally, a comparison with the existing literature is prepared and an excellent agreement is seen.

In most of practical situation multiple slips (velocity, temperature and concentration) has importance in manufacturing, medicinal, imaging processes and design of materials. In view of this, the present work considered the multiple slips on Magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) dissipative non-Newtonian fluid (Casson fluid) above a curved type of a stretching surface are studied. Multiple slips with Casson fluid have significance in controlling the blood flow distribution in human and animal bodies. The R–K fourth-order via shooting technique is used to convert the nonlinear governing equations. The impact of governing parameters is shown and explored graphically. The present investigation explores the multiple slip effects in governing equations under the influence of the magnetic field; the fluid’s temperature and velocity have reverse characteristics. In a few unique situations, the current findings have been in reasonable agreement with the current results. As opposed to when viscous dissipation is absent, the temperature distribution is higher when viscous dissipation is present. It helps us to decide depending on the industrial and manufacturing processes, whether dissipation has to be applied or not. The stretching parameter enhances the Skin friction coefficient and rate of heat transfer, while decreases the rate of mass transfer. Also, the fluid’s temperature decreases because an increase in Casson fluid parameter enhances the plastic dynamic viscosity, which creates resistance in the fluid motion.

This paper analyzes the heat transport phenomena of two-phase nanofluid within a permeable circular segment with an interaction of Arrhenius activation energy and, examines the interaction of convective boundary conditions affecting the flow characteristics. The pre-exponential factor of the Arrhenius equation deals with the collision between molecules, and it has significant applications for getting the rate of a chemical reaction and is used to estimate material properties with changes in temperature and energy. To a greater extent, the external uniform heat source encourages thermal properties on account of the behavior of Brownian and thermophoresis parameters. The transformation of the standard nondimensional form of the governing equations is obtained for the assumption of appropriate similarity variables and stream function. The set of these transformed equations is tackled numerically with the shooting technique. The characteristics of physical parameters on the flow phenomena are presented graphically and the validation with earlier research displays a strong correlation for the specific case. The special attraction of the present investigation is the regression analysis for the simulated results of heat and solutal transfer rates using Response Surface Methodology considering various characterizing parameters like heat source, thermal radiation, curvature, activation energy, thermal and solutal Biot numbers within certain range.

We have demonstrated an effective way to suppress the viewing angle dependence of the emission intensity of top-emitting organic light-emitting devices (TOLEDs) by fabricating devices on curved surfaces. From this approach, curved light emission surface has been obtained and TOLEDs with curved surface exhibit a relatively dispersed light emission pattern. As a result, the variation of emission intensity with viewing angles can be relieved. In addition, we can almost observe the same luminance and efficiency in OLEDs with and without curved surface light emission.

Laser shock peening (LSP) was employed to squeeze compressive residual stress (CRS) into the curved surface of the round rod with diameter of 16mm. The residual stress field was induced by nine laser shots irradiating at different locations along the specified path. The developing process of the residual stress field was investigated with finite element analysis, and the corresponding experiments were also carried out to validate the calculated results. Results demonstrate that multiple LSP with 50% overlapping rate can result in residual stress field with the maximum CRS varying from 155.2MPa to 198.8MPa along the direction of the rod axis. The peened surface appears wavy in shape and the maximum depth of plastic deformation in the curved surface is 13.41$\mu$m. The value of surface roughness increases from 3.87$\mu$m to 4.65$\mu$m.

This paper deals with the entropy optimization and heat transport of magneto-nanomaterial flow of non-Newtonian (Jeffrey fluid) towards a curved stretched surface. MHD fluid is accounted. The modeling of energy expression is developed subject to Brownian diffusion, Joule (Ohmic) heating, thermophoresis and viscous dissipation. Total entropy rate is discussed with the help of fluid friction irreversibility, mass transfer irreversibility, Joule heating irreversibility and heat transfer irreversibility. Binary chemical reaction with the smallest amount of activation energy is further considered. The governing equations of Jeffrey fluid with effects of hydrodynamic, thermal radiation, heat and mass transfer were solved through built-in-shooting method. The flow variables on the entropy rate, velocity field, concentration, Bejan number, skin friction coefficient and temperature are physically discussed through various graphs. The outcomes reveal that the entropy rate increases with an enhancement in curvature parameter. Such obtained outcomes help in mechanical and industrial engineering sciences. Moreover, the velocity and temperature decays versus ratio of relaxation to retardation times are also noticed.
