On the Search for Elements Beyond Z = 118 — An Outlook Based on Lessons from the Heaviest Known Elements
Preview AbstractAll elements up to Z = 118 are discovered, and several search experiments for elements beyond have been carried out. None of them, however, have reported the discovery of a heavier element. Relevant aspects for a successful search for elements with Z ≥ 119 are discussed.
