A new calculus on fractal curves, such as the von Koch curve, is formulated. We define a Riemann-like integral along a fractal curve F, called F^α-integral, where α is the dimension of F. A derivative along the fractal curve called F^α-derivative, is also defined. The mass function, a measure-like algorithmic quantity on the curves, plays a central role in the formulation. An appropriate algorithm to calculate the mass function is presented to emphasize its algorithmic aspect.

Several aspects of this calculus retain much of the simplicity of ordinary calculus. We establish a conjugacy between this calculus and ordinary calculus on the real line. The F^α-integral and F^α-derivative are shown to be conjugate to the Riemann integral and ordinary derivative respectively. In fact, they can thus be evalutated using the corresponding operators in ordinary calculus and conjugacy. Sobolev Spaces are constructed on F, and F^α-differentiability is generalized. Finally we touch upon an example of absorption along fractal paths, to illustrate the utility of the framework in model making.

In this study, we present a fractal generalized fourth-order Boussinesq equation which can describe the shallow water waves with the non-smooth boundary (such as the fractal boundary). Aided by the semi-inverse method, we establish its variational principle, which is proved to have a strong minimum condition via the He–Weierstrass theorem. Then, two powerful approaches namely the variational method (VM) and energy balance theory (EBT) are utilized to search for the periodic wave solutions. As expected, the results obtained by the two methods are almost the same. Furthermore, the impact of the fractal orders on the periodic wave structure is illustrated via the 3D plot and 2D curve. The results of this paper are expected to provide a reference for the study of periodic wave theory in fractal space.

This study examines the development of a novel approach known as the fractal Elzaki transform method (F$𝔼$TM) to investigate the approximation solution of the nonlinear fractal Drinfeld–Sokolov–Wilson (NFDSW) model. We adopt He’s fractal derivative to change the fractal model into its differential parts and then apply the Elzaki transform to obtain the recurrence relation. We utilize the framework of homotopy perturbation method to handle the nonlinear components of this recurrence relation and thus we can obtain the successive iterations very easily. The derived findings are performed in the form of series and the rate of convergence shows the remarkable solutions due to its fast convergence. The numerical example illustrates that F$𝔼$TM is very easy to implement and a fascinating tool for fractal models.

In this paper, we first created a fractal Date–Jimbo–Kashiwara–Miwa (FDJKM) long ripple wave model in a non-smooth boundary or microgravity space recorded. Using fractal semi-inverse skill (FSIS) and fractal traveling wave transformation (FTWT), the fractal variational principle (FVP) was derived, and the strong minimum necessary circumstance was attested with the He Wierstrass function. We have discovered two distinct solitary wave solutions, the square form of the hyperbolic secant function and the hyperbolic secant function form. Then, soliton solutions are cultivated through FVP and the minimum steady state condition. Finally, the influences of non-smooth boundaries on solitons were tackled, and the properties of the solution were demonstrated through three-dimensional contour lines. Fractal dimension can impact waveforms, but cannot affect their vertex values. The presentation of soliton solutions (SWS) using techniques is not only laudable but also noteworthy. The technique employed can also be used to investigate solitary wave solutions of other local fractional calculus partial differential equations.
