The paper deals with a wind wave, which is a day-ahead wave healing of a power grid with lots of wind farms and a transmission fault. This wave healing restores synchronization and shape of a power grid. The synchronization restoration is achieved by Casimir force, adjusted by an energy spike. The shape restoration is achieved via an energy spike, adjusted by the change of the free energy of the grid.

Leukocytic pyrogens, which are frequently called cytokines that are proinflammatory, initiate and enhance the process of inflammatory reactions when tissues are injured. This is an essential biological process causing a high temperature and boosts the defenses of the immune system to infections. Using laboratory mice as the experimental animal, the study sought to ascertain how cold laser stimulation affects the synthesis and release of leukocytic pyrogens, which are important in initiating and intensifying the body’s reaction to inflammatory damage to tissues. The goal of the research was to ascertain the effects of cold laser treatments on the generation and distribution of these crucial components of the immune system’s ability to protect against pathogens. Forty lab mice were used to create standard 1-cm facial wounds. Two groupings of animals have been formed. A continuous 940-nm laser with 500mW of output power, 0.8cm² of beam spot area at the target, and instantaneous delivery of an energy density of 187.5 J/cm² is used to treat the first group. This happens when the mice sustain injuries and the second group serves as a control group. Leukocytic pyrogen initially appeared to be an immunohistochemistry-positive stain throughout laser-treated and untreated control specimens. In the untreated group, the levels of leukocytic pyrogen increased from the beginning to the third day, then decreased for an entire week, and then increased once more after a period of two weeks. Leukocytic pyrogen concentration, on the other hand, showed a significant decline on both the initial and third days following therapy with laser in comparison to those in the control group. The findings of this investigation suggest that leukocytic pyrogen expression could be impacted by therapeutic lasers. Leukocytic pyrogen levels which evolve show the manner in which the cell reacts to inflammatory conditions. This work presented sheds the spotlight on the possible advantages of medical laser therapy concerning leukocytic pyrogen concentrations as well as indicates interesting possibilities for more studies in this field.

Background: Flexor tendon injuries are extremely common and they are usually the result of incised traumatic glass or knife injury. The process of tendon healing is a complicated and exceptionally-regimented mechanism that is originated and monitored by a vast number of diverse molecules. One of the most pivotal groups of mediators that are crucial to the healing process are growth factors (GF). Intense pulse light (IPL) can lead to evidence of new collagen formation with associated clinical improvement in tissue healing. The biological benefit of Intense pulse light (IPL) relies on judicious photothermolysis, where heat driven radiation is dissipated and focused at the cellular level. The aims of this study is to set out the effect of growth factor and IPL on healing following a tendon repair.

Methods: Bovine common digital extensor tendons (CDET) were used as an ex vivo model. 44 tendon repairs were performed by the lead author using 2.5 × magnification loupes and standard instruments. Clamped tendons were assigned into the following groups; control, IPL, GF, IPL and GF. After culturing, biomechanical testing was carried out using monotonic tensile testing with displacement-controlled uniaxial tension to failure.

Results: The mean values for ultimate tensile stress (UTS) for the control group was 53.51 N, for IPL it was 51.15 N, for growth factor was 70.10 N and for combined growth factor and IPL it was 75.16 N.

Conclusions: This study showed significant improvement in UTS when repaired tendons were cultured with growth factor compared to control and IPL. This would suggest a biomechanical advantage for tendon healing.

Monochromatic infrared energy (MIRE) or anodyne therapy has been shown to increase nitric oxide level locally and increase the local circulation at the site it is applied. Diabetic foot ulcers may take a long time to heal. Chronic diabetic foot ulcers resistant to conventional treatment with daily dressings could be treated with anodyne therapy on an outpatient basis. The authors showed successful application of their modality of treatment in four chronic diabetic foot ulcers which failed to heal with conventional methods.

Chronic diabetic foot ulcers are sometimes resistant to conventional treatment with debridements and daily dressings. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) by stimulating angiogenesis locally could accelerate tissue healing. Schaden et al. first reported treating skin lesions with ESWT with a study cohort of 102 patients (104 chronic foot ulcers). They found 74% efficacy of success to produce complete healing. No adverse effect was observed. This cohort did not include any chronic diabetic ulcer. Schaden et al. further reported on the treatment of 175 patients (177 chronic skin lesions) with 74.5% showing complete healing. Santos et al. reported 12 case reports of chronic skin lesions treated by ESWT, four being diabetic foot lesions. They concluded that ESWT was effective, although it is noted that their study size was small. Currently, a randomised control study is underway by United States National Institute of Health by Tissue Regeneration Technologies since August 2006 to study the safety and efficacy of ESWT using Dermagold® for the treatment of chronic diabetic plantar foot ulcers. The authors are also currently conducting a randomised control study on the efficacy of ESWT for the treatment of chronic diabetic dorsal foot ulcers in collaboration with Dornier Medtech. A phase I/II FDA-sponsored diabetic foot ulcer study in the US is also currently underway by Attinger and Steinberg at the Limb Centre, Georgetown University.
