For two knots K1K1 and K2K2, K1K1 is said to be nn-adjacent to K2K2, if K1K1 admits a knot diagram containing nn crossings such that crossing changes at any non-empty subset of them yield a knot diagram of K2K2. Using a surgical view of Alexander invariants, we will characterize the Alexander polynomials of knots which are 22-adjacent to the trivial knot.
