The study aims to improve the prediction of slope stability in road engineering by combining sophisticated analytical methods, including ABAQUS software-based finite element modeling and gray relational analysis. The aim is to devise a systematic and impartial strategy that reduces the subjective biases linked with conventional empirical techniques, enhancing the precision of safety factor computations for soil slopes across diverse geological and environmental scenarios. This strategy tackles the drawbacks of traditional approaches, which frequently rely on empirical procedures and produce inconsistent findings in various contexts. The methodology entails utilizing ABAQUS software to create a numerical slope model and then calculating safety factors under different operating situations using the finite element strength reduction method. The improved gray relational analysis captures the complexity related to slope stability and offers a more thorough knowledge of variable interdependencies. The study uses ABAQUS to model slope stability problems and, despite its complexity, calculates exact safety factors using the finite element strength reduction approach to assess slope performance under various scenarios. The paper illustrates how the suggested approach may be used practically in engineering projects and how it can enhance the procedures involved in making decisions about slope stability evaluations.

Most of concrete constructions built on urban ground surface are impermeable materials, which are very bad for urban ecosystem. This paper studied evaluation methods of permeable slow-traffic system though its drainage effect, noise reduction effect and thermal island effect reduction. The results show: as for drainage effect, permeability coefficient increase with asphalt mixture void ratio; non-fines concrete combined with graded gravel penetrates the most quickly, followed by graded gravel base and cement stabilized macadam combined with graded gravel. For noise reduction effect, the acoustical absorptivity of permeable concrete increase with the void ratio rising. And for thermal island effect reduction, temperature difference between surface and middle course of permeable pavement is much larger than that of other types of pavement structures, which illustrates that permeable pavement can alleviate thermal island effect positively. The results suggest that drainage effect, noise reduction effect and heat island effect reduction can be used to evaluate permeable slow-traffic system reasonably.

In order to detect the deformation of particles within the asphalt mixture, a method for deformation analysis of particles based on grid calibration was proposed. This method has the advantages of anti-jamming capacity, high precision and multi-target tracking and it can achieve the deformation calculation at any point within the particle by tracking the displacements of the target center which printed on the particle before and after deformation as well as the corner of the target. In the process of capturing the target, we can obtain the candidate values of the corner array coordinates and the target angle according to the relation curve between the target image rotation angle and the edge strength projection accumulation peak, and the obvious geometric characteristics of the parallel grid calibration plate, edge detection and projection technology were used in this process. In terms of target position parameter extraction, the sub-pixel search technology of corner array was used to achieve the high accuracy calculation of the target center point coordinates and then complete the target angle determination combined with the technique of image correlation analysis of target and aggregate texture. The result show that this method can realize the deformation tracking of the particles, which provides an effective method to analyze the motion of the internal particles of the asphalt mixture under the action of load.

This paper attempted the large scale recycling technique which increasing the content of old asphalt mixture by 30%, 45%, 60%. Experimenting with a large number of high temperature stability and water stability tests of recycling mixture in different contents indoors. The results of rutting test, GTM test and the single penetration test show that recycling mixtures has a good high temperature performance, and there is a linear relationship between dynamic stability and penetration of asphalt; The results of immersion marshall test, freeze-thaw split test and cantabro test show that water stability of recycling mixtures first rises and then drops, and the content of RAP should be in a reasonable range to keep a good water stability performance; GTM test shows that the compaction of recycling mixtures is easier than the new asphalt mixture. The higher the content, the easier the compaction. Large scale recycling technique of old asphalt mixture was used in entity engineering in China for the first time, the application effect was good.
