The Composition Algebra-based Methodology (CAM) [B. Wolk, Pap. Phys.9, 090002 (2017); Phys. Scr.94, 025301 (2019); Adv. Appl. Clifford Algebras27, 3225 (2017); J. Appl. Math. Phys.6, 1537 (2018); Phys. Scr.94, 105301 (2019), Adv. Appl. Clifford Algebras30, 4 (2020)], which provides a new model for generating the interactions of the Standard Model, is geometrically modeled for the electromagnetic and weak interactions on the parallelizable sphere operator fiber bundle$B_n=(T𝕄,S^n\to {\mathcal{𝒮}}^n,SO(n+1),\pi )$ consisting of base space, the tangent bundle $T𝕄$ of space–time $𝕄$, projection operator $\pi$, the parallelizable spheres $S^n=\{S^1,S^3\}$ conceived as operator fibers $S^n\to {\mathcal{𝒮}}^n$ attaching to and operating on $T_p𝕄$$\forall p\in 𝕄$ as $p$ varies over $𝕄$, and as structure group, the norm-preserving symmetry group $SO(n+1)$ for each of the division algebras which is simultaneously the isometry group of the associated unit sphere. The massless electroweak $SU{(2)}_L\otimes U{(1)}_Y$ Lagrangian is shown to arise from $B_{3\otimes 1}$’s generation of a local coupling operation on sections of Dirac spinor and Clifford algebra bundles over $𝕄$. Importantly, CAM is shown to be a new genre of gauge theory which subsumes Yang–Mills Standard Model gauge theory. Local gauge symmetry is shown to be at its core a geometric phenomenon inherent to CAM gauge theory. Lastly, the higher-dimensional, topological architecture which generates CAM from within a unified eleven $(1,10)$-dimensional geometro-topological structure is introduced.

The anomalous chromomagnetic dipole moment, with the gluon off-shell, of the Standard Model (SM) light quarks ($u$, $d$, $s$, $c$ and $b$), at the $Z$ gauge boson mass scale, is computed by using the $\overline{\mathrm{\text{MS}}}$ scheme. The numerical results disagree with all the previous predictions reported in the literature and show a discrepancy of up to two orders of magnitude in certain situations.

Among the known elementary particles, 15 are not massless. In the Lagrangian of the standard model, the Higgs particle couples to all 15 of them to give them their respective masses. In this paper, a new model is proposed, where in the Lagrangian, the Higgs particle couples only to the four heaviest known elementary particles $t$, $H$, $Z$ and $W$, all with masses in the vicinity of $100\mathrm{\text{GeV}}∕{\mathrm{\text{c}}}^2$, but not to the other 11. In this model, the masses of these 11 elementary particles that do not couple directly to the Higgs particle are generated by radiative corrections. Because of the reduction of the number of terms in the Lagrangian, this model is referred to as the basic standard model. By studying how the bottom quark can acquire a mass, it is found that there must be a relation between the three gauge coupling constants of the gauge group $U(1)\times SU(2)\times SU(3)$. This relation between these coupling constants is the first prediction, on purely theoretical grounds without using any experimental input, of the basic standard model, and is studied in some detail. In particular, this new prediction is found to be in good agreement with experimental measurements.

We review the status of the standard model predictions for D-mixing and CP-violation in mixing.

We report a measurement of the CP violating asymmetry in D⁰ → π⁺π^- decays using approximately 215,000 decays reconstructed in about 5.94 fb^-1 of CDF data. We use the strong D^⋆+ → D⁰π⁺ decay ("D^⋆ tag") to identify the flavor of the charmed meson at production time and exploit CP-conserving strong pair-production in collisions. Higher statistic samples of Cabibbo-favored D⁰ → K^-π⁺ decays with and without D^⋆ tag are used to highly suppress systematic uncertainties due to detector effects. The result, A_CP(D⁰ → π⁺π^-) = [0.22 ± 0.24 (stat.) ± 0.11 (syst.)]%, is the world's most precise measurement to date and it is fully consistent with no CP violation.

The Kaon physics program at CERN will be shortly presented, addressing the most recent results from the NA48/2 and NA62 experiments at the CERN SPS and future prospects.

We present a broad range of Standard Model measurements performed in proton-proton collisions at the LHC on a variety of topics $W/Z+$jets production and ratios, the electroweak multi-boson production, $W/Z$ heavy flavor decay production, jet production, photon physics, the Standard Model soft QCD and diffractive physics. The latest public results from ATLAS experiment are obtained at the center-of-mass energy of both 7 TeV and 8 TeV, which covers total cross sections, fiducial cross sections, differential cross sections wherever available and comparison with Leading-Order/Next-to-Leading-Order/Next-to-Next-to-Leading-Order theory predictions. These measurements provide important tests for perturbative QCD, electroweak multi-boson interactions, Electroweak Symmetry Breaking over a broad kinematic range and constraints for PDFs. Model-independent new physics searches are also performed by probing anomalous gauge bosons couplings using effective Lagrangian or effective field theory formalism.

The black hole information problem and the firewall problem can be addressed by assuming an extra local symmetry: conformal invariance. It must be an exact symmetry, spontaneously broken by the vacuum, in a way similar to the Brout–Englert–Higgs (BEH) mechanism. We note how this symmetry formally removes the horizon and the singularity inside black holes. For the Standard Model this symmetry is severely restrictive, demanding all coupling constants, masses and even the cosmological constant to be computable, in principle. Finally, this symmetry suggests that the Weyl action (the square of the Weyl curvature) should be added to the Einstein–Hilbert action. The ensuing indefinite metric states are briefly studied, and we conclude with some remarks concerning the interpretation of quantum mechanics.
