Exotic Cluster Structures in the Mean-Field Theory
Preview AbstractThis talk contains results from several applications of the mean-field model for nuclei. A brief discussion is give of a comparison of nuclear shapes in heavy-ion collisions from time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) and the asymmetric two-center oscillator shell model (TCSM). The remainder of the talk is devoted to the structure of light nuclei: analysis in terms of α-clusters, the exotic 4-α chain state in 16O, and a rotating torus configuration for 40Ca.
