Authors retain the copyright to the article and have their final version of their papers published with immediate and unrestricted access.

- Why do I need to pay an Article Processing Charge?
MIDS is a gold Open Access journal, i.e., we do not charge libraries and readers for accessing the papers. The Article Processing Charge paid by authors is therefore necessary to keep the journal operational, including but not limited to running peer review systems, copyediting and typesetting, hosting the article in perpetuity on dedicated servers, and marketing. - If my paper is invited, do I need to pay an Article Processing Charge?
You do not need to pay an article processing charge (APC) if the Editor-in-Chief or Guest Editor has explicitly waived the APC of your submitted paper. A limited number of APC waivers are reserved each year, especially for invited review articles. For authors who had been previously invited, subsequent regular submissions will be subjected to the APC. - When do I pay the Article Processing Charge?
World Scientific will only email you an official invoice for the payment of an Article Processing Charge after your paper has been accepted. Before responding to any payment request, we advise you to check on your submission's status at Editorial Manager website, or contact mids@wspc.com, to ensure your submission has officially been "Accepted" for publication. - Are there any waivers and discounts?
World Scientific has reached open access agreements with some institutions. We also offer discounted APC for corresponding authors from certain developing countries. Please email mids@wspc.com if you wish to take up any of the following options:
