Aims & Scope
This journal is directed at researchers, educators, and engineers in the field of parallel computations. Its goal is to foster the advance of the state-of-the-art in the field. The journal solicits original research papers and survey articles in the following areas:
- Algorithm - architecture interaction and impact on applications:
algorithm design for scientific computation, in particular as related to high performance systems ranging from supercomputers down to workstations which incorporate supercomputer/parallel processing ideas.
- Programming environments and debugging tools:
environments facilitating the development and debugging of parallel programs on a variety of architectures. The main components of such an environment may be: (i) a problem-specification system, (ii) interactive program restructurers, and (iii) program/algorithm visualization and debugging system.
- Performance evaluation:
performance characterization, software- and hardware-based tools for measuring performance of parallel machines, and visualization and adaptive control of multiprocessor systems.
