Aims & Scope
The field of geometric mechanics is concerned with the systematic and rigorous use of geometric methods in mechanics and related areas such as dynamics and control theory. The tools and ideas developed in geometric mechanics have historically stimulated developments and found applications in a variety of other fields such as optimal transport, stochastic processes, data science, and machine learning. The journal Geometric Mechanics is dedicated to the advancement of theoretical and computational developments in geometric mechanics and related areas that have benefited from interactions with the field more broadly.
