Congratulations to Prof. Lihong Wang for being elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering (USA). Prof. Wang is Bren Professor of Medical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena. Editor-in-Chief Prof. Qingming Luo heads the new HUST-Suzhou Institute for Brainsmatics — a brain imaging hub that promises high-throughput, rapid brain mapping. The institute will receive funding of 450 million yuan (US$67 million) over five years and collaborators include the Allen Institute, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and Stanford University.
