International Strategic Relations and China's National Security is an annual review focusing on the latest trends in international political and security situations by China’s top military think tank, Institute for Strategic Studies (ISS), National Defense University of People's Liberation Army (NDU, PLA).

This annual strategic review studies the latest development in the international strategic situation and various key domains of China's national security from a Chinese perspective. ISS has invited outstanding scholars from top military and civilian research institutes to participate in the research aiming to present rigorous, accurate and representative analyses. The annual review provides an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of significant regional and international issues for readers worldwide.

ISS was established in 1985. Its mission is to conduct research in international relations, national security and defense strategies, and to provide strategic consultations for Chinese government and military leaders. NDU is China's top military university to train commanders and senior research officers for the Chinese military and to provide policy consultations to the State Council and the Central Military Commission.
