In the container shipping industry, a company could have an advantage over its competitors while its liner container shipping system (LCSS) can successfully transport the requested demand. However, some uncertainties such as unstable sea state, terrible weather, sailor’s negligence, and the condition of vessels would affect the number of slots on the vessel to place containers when shipping on different legs. Thus, that number should be regarded as stochastic. At the container terminal, containers are loaded from and unloaded to the vessel ship by the quay cranes. The number of available quay cranes at each terminal is also stochastic because of the reservation of other competitors. Therefore, this study proposes an algorithm that constructs an LCSS as a stochastic liner container shipping network (SLCSN) model to analyze the network reliability. Network reliability is defined as the probability that all vessels in the SLCSN can satisfy the demands within the time threshold. For an executive of the liner container shipping company, the network reliability can be utilized as the performance indicator to make an appropriate managerial decision.

Colleges and universities increasingly incorporate ideological and political (IP) concepts into their courses as a fundamental prerequisite and a rising IP education trend under changing conditions. Students have difficulty sifting through the ever-growing amount of online information to locate what they need in learning resources. Technology-enhanced learning encompasses any technology that helps students study more effectively. This paper suggests a personalized learning resource recommendation system (PLRRS) for IPC. Personal learning recommendation systems (PLRSs) that do their task well will help students cope with the existing information overload. They will make sure that they receive the correct information at the right time and in the right format for their particular needs. E-learning systems that intentionally personalize their courses to the preferences, objectives, skills, and interests of the students they serve are engaging in personalized learning. In the last several years, researchers have been looking at ways to assist instructors in enhancing e-learning. Personalized learning scenarios are created by picking the most relevant learning objects based on an individual’s profile. A test score greatly improved for students in IPC after using the model in this research, which suggests that this model has a strong promotion value.

In this study, a preventive maintenance policy for a linear (or circular) consecutive $k$-out-of-$n$:$F$ system with independent and nonidentical distribution components is proposed. A set of all possible states of working system is used to calculate the system’s reliability. The primary objective of this study is to determine optimal replacement time for systems with nonidentical components. The costs for each component in the proposed optimal replacement policy are different.

In this paper, first, we discuss the status quo of research and development of intelligent speech technology and analyze the problems existing in today’s education. The second is to explain the related concepts of intelligent speech technology, and, at the same time, to conduct in-depth research on the intelligent speech technology tools used in the experimental research and the related functions of the educational applications cited in this research, and briefly describe the correlation between information education and language learning basic knowledge. Then we summarize the structure, attributes, scope and existing solutions to solve the energy efficiency of the sensor network, focus on the classification and analysis of the existing routing protocols of the wireless sensor network, and summarize the characteristics of the protocol. In addition, this paper conducts extensive research on the relationship between LEACH protocol cluster division and energy consumption. This paper focuses on the shortcomings of the mainstream virtual reality (VR) system creation method, and proposes a method of interactive design, which significantly reduces the threshold for creating VR content and improves the efficiency of VR creation. Wisdom teaching technology not only mobilizes the enthusiasm of students in learning, but also helps to improve the teaching effect. Finally, it summarizes the specific work and importance of the research, and shows the application and development prospects of intelligent teaching technology in future education. Through the research of intelligent voice technology and sensor network, this paper applies it to the VR intelligent teaching system, and promotes the development of the VR intelligent teaching system in future education.

The feeding unit is an important functional part in the paper industry that requires the development of effective maintenance plan based on its reliability analysis. This study analyzes reliability of the considered unit employing trapezoidal fuzzy numbers in fuzzy $\lambda$–$\tau$ methodology with Petri net modeling. In this analysis, the collected crisp input data of each subsystem has been fuzzified using trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Then fuzzy values of several reliability factors of feeding unit, namely, failure rate, repair time, reliability, availability, etc. at ±15%, ±25% and ±40% spread levels have been calculated. Further, the obtained fuzzy values of reliability factors have been defuzzified to analyze system behavior of feeding unit. The analysis is useful for plant maintenance and operation management to understand the behavior of feeding unit in a more realistic manner.

E/E/PE safety-related systems play an important role in ensuring the functional safety especially for the safety-critical systems. In fact, the E/E/PE safety-related systems are widely implemented in several types of systems, such as automotive and chemical plant control systems, for the safe operation of them. In the operation of the systems, proof-testing, which is known as scheduled periodic inspections or maintenance activities, is conducted for maintaining certain level of safety integrity required to the E/E/PE safety-related system. However, the proof-testing needs a lot of time and cost for checking and proofing whether the safety-related system satisfies the safety requirement in operation. We discuss economic strategies for supporting design of proof-testing interval by focusing on the trade-off relationship between the maintenance cost and the risk at harmful event occurrence.

Standby spare systems are particularly important because of their high reliability over other competing systems. A great deal of research has been done in the literature on these systems under various assumptions. Obtaining explicit reliability equations for such systems is achieved only when the failure behavior of their components follows the exponential distribution due to its ease of use. However, in practice, there are many components that their failure behavior does not follow the exponential distribution. In this paper, a closed-form equation is derived for the reliability of the 1-out-of-$n$ cold standby spare system under conditions that the failure of the active component follows the Weibull distribution. The solution method for the system is based on the Maclaurin series and multinomial expansion.
