The main objective of this research is to analyze the determinants of job satisfaction among teachers in private schools in Afghanistan. This study utilizes the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) as its foundational framework. The investigated factors include achievement, recognition, advancement, compensation, working conditions, job security, and coworker relationships. Furthermore, job satisfaction is considered a latent variable. Data were gathered through a thoroughly structured and randomly distributed questionnaire, which included demographic information (age, gender, education, and work experience) as well as inquiries related to the research variables. The sample consisted of 206 respondents drawn from the target population. The collected data are tested for reliability and consistency before further analysis. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was employed to assess the data and derive conclusions. The findings reveal that all the examined factors significantly contribute to job satisfaction in the studied private schools. This study has theoretical implications due to the fact that the findings are achieved through accepted scientific research methods. In addition to that, it has practical implications as well, because the managers in educational institutions and other related stakeholders can make informed decisions based on the findings of this study.

The extant literature suggests a significant association between oil prices and unemployment. However, the relevant literature is unclear on how oil prices impact unemployment in oil-importing economies. In this study, we empirically examine the impact of oil prices on unemployment in 29 African oil-importing economies employing the linear and nonlinear panel autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) techniques. Our findings demonstrate a negative and significant relationship between oil prices and unemployment in the short run. In contrast, we observe a direct but weak association between unemployment and oil prices in the long run. Besides, unemployment reacts negatively and positively, respectively, to positive and negative changes in oil prices in the short run. In the long run, we detect that an increase in oil prices aggravates unemployment significantly, but a fall in oil prices improves unemployment significantly. All our findings prove robust to data of different frequencies (quarterly and yearly) and Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil price indices.

This study investigates the role of attitudes, behavioral beliefs, and normative beliefs in shaping the intention to adopt Islamic Wealth Management (IWM) among staff at the Islamic University in Uganda, Kampala Campus (IUIU-KC). Given the varied perceptions surrounding IWM understanding these influencing factors is crucial for its viability among stakeholders. By employing a qualitative exploratory approach, data were collected through interviews with purposively selected academicians from the Faculty of Management Studies. Thematic analysis revealed that positive attitudes, supportive behavioral beliefs, and favorable normative beliefs significantly encourage IWM adoption. The findings imply that fostering these positive perceptions can enhance IWM integration within educational and financial institutions. By understanding these key drivers, policymakers, educators, and financial institutions can develop targeted strategies to promote IWM adoption. This approach not only aids stakeholder engagement and curriculum refinement in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) but also supports informed policy-making, advancing the broader acceptance and integration of IWM in Uganda and similar contexts. Further still IWM may be an option toward achieving the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals if implemented.
