The nurturing of an entrepreneurial university is essential since it creates an important place to teach the key themes of entrepreneurship. This paper provides a literature review and discusses the various definitions of the entrepreneurial university and its development factors. This paper uses [Kearnay’s (1999). Enterprising Ways to Teach and Learn, a series of books, Enterprise Principles. Enterprise Design Associates. Tasmania, Australia: North Hobart] pedagogical approach on the development of the entrepreneurial university to create an empirical survey administered to 250 university professors in Tunisia. The results of this study illustrate that Kearnay’s pedagogical approach [Kearney, P (1999). Enterprising Ways to Teach and Learn, a series of books, Enterprise Principles. Enterprise Design Associates. Tasmania, Australia: North Hobart] (responsive, experiential, reflective, and cooperative pedagogy) positively influences the development of the entrepreneurial university. We conclude with an original teaching method framework to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit in university students to facilitate an entrepreneurial university.

The rapid changes in the economic situation and the complex market environment make the cross-border e-commerce industry, as an important part of the market economy, face many challenges and risks in the development process. The particularity of its transaction and the imperfect tax mechanism have virtually increased the financial management risk. The research constructs the financial risk analysis model with the help of the support vector machine (SVM) and fuzzy theory. Through algorithm test and empirical research, it is found that the average accuracy of the optimized SVM on the selected data set is more than 90%, and after parameter optimization, the change of model fitness tends to be stable with the increase of iteration times, which greatly improves the search ability of sample data, and the accuracy of financial data classification with high risk is 46.8%. In the empirical research, the model established by fuzzy SVM can effectively eliminate the irrelevant index data, and the prediction accuracy of investment risk and operation risk has reached 80% or more. In the prediction of financing risk and tax risk, its accuracy has been improved by 12.4% compared to that before use.

Sustainable development has been putting pressure on companies to act in favor of sustainability. To overcome such forces, we evidenced performance through operations that offer opportunities to obtain economic, environmental, and social performance and, thus, should become the organization’s central area and the driving force behind the strategy. It is noteworthy that to achieve such performance, Industry 4.0 technologies can be used as resources, and they have the potential to generate capabilities for meeting sustainable objectives. Thus, this research has as its main objective to propose a sustainable operations strategy model based on digital technologies. Grounded by the classic view of operations strategy and using the ProKnow-C method, a first effort was made to raise performance objectives in the economic, environmental, and social dimensions as well as criteria that assess digital technologies. As result, regarding the economic performance objectives, the five traditional objectives were maintained. In the environmental dimension, the following were pointed out: consumption of natural resources, emissions, waste and reverse management, and environmental regulation. In the social dimension, the following stood out: exposure to occupational risk agents and both internal and external engagement. About criteria that assess digital technologies, the degree of automation, connectivity, and scalability besides feasibility, vulnerability, and acceptability were framed, remaining in alignment with classic theory. Finally, it was proposed a change of view on the area of process technology, which arises much more as support influencing and enhancing the other areas.

This paper aims at examining the enterprises characteristic, business performance, and obstacles in doing business for food and agribusiness firms across rural and urban areas, based on World Bank’s Enterprises Survey data of 699 respondents. Chi-square test shows statistically significance difference in firms’ characteristics across the rural and urban regions. ANOVA reveals a significant difference in business performance. Similarly, perception about obstacles in doing business varies across the urban and rural firms. This study can be helpful for agribusiness managers and government policy makers in promoting region-based entrepreneurship in a focused manner.

COVID-19 refocused the importance of social responsibility awareness and social performance measurement of health care. Hospitals must carry out social accountability behaviors while still providing adequate facilities and services. However, any analysis of social performance still contains many ambiguities and can differ in its reference points depending on the nature of the different stakeholders. The study uses an explanatory study to measure the social performance of hospitals in Indonesia and examine the indicators and dimensions that influence social performance in hospitals the most. Data of 752 accredited hospitals were obtained from the Indonesian Commission on Accreditation of Hospital (ICAHO) in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Model (SEM) methodology and SPSS AMOS software. The study found a significant and positive effect of environmental forces and information technology resources on social performance. Further, the study found that intrapreneurship (entrepreneurship efforts within established institutions) in hospitals mediated the effects of organizational architecture, environment forces, and information technology toward/in favor of social performance. This study contributes to improving the quality healthcare by demonstrating novelty for how social performance can be measured and better efforts adopted to produce more social value-based healthcare through the use of organizational architecture, environmental forces, and information technology.

3D printing applications help solve challenges in the field of healthcare. These technologies evolved to produce custom-made medical devices and implants for patients and enhance medical education and research. This paper aims to make readers aware of the role of 3D printing in the field of medical education. 3D printing technologies are part of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies. 3D printing shows excellent potential with unconventional materials like different types of plastic, ketones, wood, human cells, metal powder, ceramics, composites, smart material, etc. This manufacturing method is suitable for producing complex and intricate shaped medical objects of the required property with lesser wastage of material. This paper introduces 3D printing technology and the need to carry out this study related to medical education and research. A brief literature review of 3D printing has been carried out. The paper further discusses the capabilities of 3D printing in the field of medicine. Patient-specific 3D models are being designed and then manufactured and implanted. 3D models of defective body parts help surgical planning and better part designing. Finally, the paper discusses significant roles of 3D printing in healthcare education in a tabular form. For the future, this technology has immense potential for medical education, surgical planning and support including for a clear understanding of the disease.

The technological evolution that enterprises are facing is increasingly fast and dynamic, demanding more and more flexibility and agility in the application of new technologies in an increasingly globalized and competitive business environment. This work has a broad view of the industry 4.0 influence in the global supply chain companies, as it is essential for long-term business sustainability and one of the key drivers of profitability and growth. The model proposed in this research effort considers the application in the processes of a global supply chain enterprise, which includes from the beginning of the demand request, also the industrial activities, to the post-sale analysis; finally, an unprecedented indicator was developed to measure the level of application of industry 4.0 concepts in organizations according to the state-of-the-art in the evaluated processes. Then, the model was applied to the real case of a global high-tech supply chain company. The first findings demonstrate the ease of understanding and applicability of the model for companies to analyze the digital transformation in their processes and identify gaps to convert them into real opportunities to leverage their business.
