The crystals N-(2-chlorophenyl)-(1-propanamide) (NCP) appropriate for nonlinear optical (NLO) and electro–optic appliances were grown full-fledged by the slow cooling method. The solubility and metastable zone width range of NCP specimen were studied. The specimen crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system with noncentrosymmetric space group of P2₁. The crystal morphology study also elucidates supplementary excellence of the as-grown NCP crystal. The optical precision in the whole visible region was found to be superior for NLO claim. The nonlinear surface waves propagating along the ultra-thin-film layers with nonlinear properties separating three nonlinear media layers are considered. The model based on a stationary nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a nonlinear potential modeling the interaction of a wave with the interface in a short-range approximation is proposed. We concentrated on effects induced by the difference of characteristics of the layers and their two interfaces. The surface waves of three types exist in the system considered. The dispersion relations determining the dependence of surface waves energy on interface intensities and medium layer characteristics are obtained and analyzed. The localization energy is calculated in explicit form for many difference cases. The conditions of the wave localization on dependence of the layer and interface characteristics are derived. The surface waves with definite energies in specific cases existing only in the presence of the interface nonlinear response are found. All results are obtained in an explicit analytical form.

In this paper, based on the ideal stimulated Raman coupling equation, the dynamic output state is investigated. Considering the gain and loss of stimulated Raman scattering in the actual situation, the ideal stimulated Raman coupling equation is modified. Furthermore, the influence of optical loss on the nonlinear effect in the stimulated Raman scattering system has been analyzed. The results show that, considering the gain and loss of the system, the dynamic output of the stimulated Raman coupling equation presents stable periodic oscillation and random oscillation.

In this study, density functional theory is used to examine the electronic and nonlinear optical properties of a narrative class boron nitride (B${}_{12}$N${}_{12}$) doped with super alkali OLi₃. From the computational investigations, these complexes are highly stable and superalkali prefer a cubic position of the nanocage energetically to be chemisorbed. When superalkali doped on B${}_{12}$N${}_{12}$, a significant decrease in the HOMO–LUMO energy gap was observed and this shifted the B${}_{12}$N${}_{12}$ nanocage from insulator to n-type semiconductor. The HOMO–LUMO energy gap of pure B${}_{12}$N${}_{12}$ was 6.84eV and when superalkali (OLi₃) is doped on it, the HOMO–LUMO energy gap was changed in the range of 3.94–0.42eV. BNM2b showed a HOMO–LUMO energy gap of 3.94eV, while BNM4a showed a minimum HOMO–LUMO energy gap (0.42eV). Further, these systems showed a remarkable large first hyperpolarizability ($⟨\beta ⟩$) in the range of 626.72–75,757au and 1045–12,6261au. When the charge was shifted from superalkali to the nanocage, a small change in transition energies has occurred and consequently, hyperpolarizability ($⟨\beta ⟩$) values increased significantly. The vertical ionization energy of pure B${}_{12}$N${}_{12}$ is 7.71eV, as superalkali is doped on it showed a significant change in VIE in BNM2b that indicated the highest VIE of about 6.47eV and BNM4a indicated lowest VIE 2.51eV. The TD-DFT investigations described that complexes illustrated greater transparency in the UV part which involves apart from greater NLO response for practical applications in the area of activity of optoelectronics.
