This article summarizes three searches for diboson resonances in the all-hadronic final state using data collected at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{\mathrm{\text{s}}}$ = 13 TeV with the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC. The boson decay products are contained in one large-radius jet, resulting in dijet final states which are resolved using jet substructure techniques. The analyses presented use 2.3 fb${}^{-1}$, 35.9 fb${}^{-1}$ and 77.3 fb${}^{-1}$ of data collected between 2015 and 2017. These include the first search for diboson resonances in data collected at a 13 TeV collision energy, the introduction of a new algorithm to tag vector bosons in the context of analyzing the data collected in 2016, and the development of a novel multidimensional fit improving on the sensitivity of the previous search method with up to 30%. The results presented here are the most sensitive to date of all diboson resonance searches in the dijet final state. An emphasis on improvements in technique for vector boson tagging is made.

The paradox of a field of a moving locked charge (confined in a closed space) is considered and solved with the use of the integral Maxwell equations. While known formulas obtained for instantaneous fields of charges moving along straight and curved lines are fully correct, measurable quantities are average electric and magnetic fields of locked charges. It is shown that the average electric field of locked charges does not depend on their motion. The average electric field of protons moving in nuclei coincides with that of protons being at rest and having the same spatial distribution of the charge density. The electric field of a twisted electron is equivalent to the field of a centroid with immobile charges whose spatial distribution is defined by the wave function of the twisted electron.

In this letter we have shown that, from the standard thermodynamic functions, the mathematical form of an equipartition theorem may be related to the algebraic expression of a particular entropy initially chosen to describe the black hole event horizon. Namely, we have different equipartition expressions for distinct statistics. To this end, four different mathematical expressions for the entropy have been selected to demonstrate our objective. Furthermore, a possible phase transition is observed in the heat capacity behavior of the Tsallis and Cirto entropy model.

In this study, we first obtained the cosmological term naturally in the Einstein–Hilbert type effect for the $f(R,T)$ theory, then we discussed the magnetized string matter in the Marder universe, later the matter Lagrangian is not equivalent to string dust and we calculated independently for the string dust and the electromagnetic field, and added the magnetized string together. Finally, we studied the physical and geometric structure of the universe, limiting our results to some astrophysical observation data.

By assuming the specific Chaplygin gas model, we study the reconstruction of warm inflation model with the help of tensor-to-scalar ratio $(r)$ and scalar spectral index $(n_s)$. In this regard, we take flat Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) metric and discuss the general forms of dissipative coefficient $\mathrm{\Gamma }(\varphi ,T)$ as well as effective potential $V(\varphi ,T)$ for two dissipative regimes i.e., the weak and strong. We use inflationary parameters such as slow-roll parameters, power spectrum of the curvature perturbation, tensor spectrum, spectral index, scalar-to-tensor ratio and Hubble parameter to find the generalized form of dissipative coefficient and effective potential. We discuss the results of dissipative coefficient and reconstructed potential in detail for the specific choice of tensor-to-scalar ratio $(r)$ and scalar spectral index $(n_s)$.

We present a new mechanism to condense a scalar field coupled to the Gauss–Bonnet term. We propose a scenario in which the condensed state will emerge from the background energy density in the late-Universe. During the radiation and dust-dominated eras, the energy density of the scalar field, ${\rho }_{\phi }$, decreases at a slower rate than the background density. Eventually, ${\rho }_{\phi }$ dominates over the energy density of dust and the scalar field could be condensed. In the condensed phase, we have the de Sitter phase for the universe with ${\rho }_{\phi }=3H_0^2{M}_P^2$. Moreover, we study the cosmological perturbations of the model and explore predictions of the model.

We discuss the corrections to the orbital period of a particle in a constant magnetic field, driven by the model of noncommutative geometry recently associated to a quantum clock. The effects are extremely small, but in principle detectable.

Entanglement purification is a vital protocol to produce a high-quality entangled state from an ensemble of identical states. Based on the particular scheme of entanglement purification [Phys. Rev. A 87, 052316 (2013)], the effect of phase fluctuation is investigated. The convergence pattern of the initial states can be divided into two kinds of regions, corresponding to the purified outcomes being a maximally entangled state (MES) or a separable state. And there is the fractal-like structure near the boundary between these two regions. It is found that the phase noise plays a positive role in generating an MES for an initial states near some fractal boundary, which can only become the separable one if the noise is absent. It is also found that the minimal iteration steps to achieve the maximally entangled state with the phase noise can be decreased, which can save the resource in the protocol.

In this paper the possibility of using mixing entangled states as quantum channel to accomplish quantum state sharing (QSTS) is considered. As a preliminary study, an efficient tripartite QSTS scheme is put forward by utilizing a mixing entangled state, which is a derivative of a six-qubit entangled pure state under a two-qubit confusion. Some specific discussions about the QSTS scheme are made, including the issues of the scheme determinacy, the sharer symmetry, the scheme security and the essential role of quantum channel as well as the current experimental feasibility.
