Compared with monotherapy, combination therapy is the first choice and the most promising method for the treatment of many complex diseases. Due to the wide variety of drugs, it is often difficult to choose desirable combination drugs with synergy and low risk. Additional research should always be done before combining drugs because the combinatorial effects can be synergistic, additive, or even antagonistic. Synergistic drugs work together to cause an effect greater than the sum of its parts. Some studies propose different approaches to detect synergism between two or more drugs. Based on the framework of bifurcation-based method, we propose an approach to screen another potential synergistic drug for a given drug. Different from other methods, the approach can help us screen and detect drugs which have a synergistic effect with a known drug, thus playing critical roles in combination therapy. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach, we apply it to three models, i.e. the zeroth-order reaction model, the galactose model, and the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition network. The approach provides a theoretical basis for rational design of combination drugs and new use of old drugs.

Due to the lack of natural driving databases containing heterogeneous traffic in the existing heterogeneous car-following modeling research, there is an urgent need for the support of a large amount of measured trajectory data for modeling. To this end, four different car-following modes of heterogeneous traffic under the influence of different vehicle types are extracted from the HighD data set, with which the statistical characteristics of the following car speed, speed difference, gap, time headway and acceleration in each mode are studied separately. Moreover, the correlation analysis of two parameters in speed-gap and speed difference-gap is carried out. On this basis, the intelligent driver model (IDM) and the full velocity difference (FVD) model are, respectively, employed to model the car-following characteristics in each mode. The results show that the existence of the truck in the following vehicle pair makes the following vehicle tend to maintain a larger gap and a smaller following speed, that is, larger time headway and gap. With the increase of trucks’ ratio, the capacity of traffic decreases. The research can lay the foundation for more accurate mixed traffic flow modeling of heterogeneous human driving vehicles, and even subsequent research on heterogeneous traffic characteristics under a mixture of human driving vehicles and autonomous vehicles.

We theoretically investigate the energy band structure, nonlinear Landau–Zener tunneling dynamics and tunneling probability of spin-orbit coupled Bose–Einstein condensates in a one-dimensional accelerating optical lattice by using mean-field and two-mode approximation. The critical condition for the appearance of the loop structure is obtained numerically in parameter planes. When the intraspecies atomic interaction is less than the interspecies atomic interaction, the loop only appears in the lower band. In this case, Raman coupling inhibits the appearance of loop, while spin-orbit coupling (SOC) promotes the appearance of loop. If the intraspecies atomic interaction is larger than interspecies atomic interaction, the loop can appear in either the upper band or the lower band. In this case, Raman coupling promotes the loop appearing in the lower band, while SOC suppresses the loop appearing in upper band. Interestingly, when the interspecies atomic interaction is equal to the intraspecies atomic interaction, there is a critical atomic intercation value determined by the optical lattice depth, only when the intraspecies atomic interaction is greater than the critical value, the loop will occur only in lower band. Especially, the emergence of the loop structure destroys the Bloch oscillation of the system and results in the nonlinear Landau–Zener tunneling of the system. Furthermore, the Landau–Zener tunneling probability of the system is calculated, and it is found that the nonlinear Landau–Zener dynamics and the tunneling probability can be manipulated by SOC and Raman coupling.

With the deepening of research on quantum information transmission, multicast-based quantum teleportation (QT) has attracted considerable attention. In this paper, utilizing the six-qubit cluster state entanglement feature, a synchronous multicast-based QT scheme is presented, which fulfills multicast-based QT among four participants. This means that a controller is not needed, the sender Alice can realize quantum multicast communication successfully and efficiently, which makes the receivers Bob, Charlie and David gain the desired states synchronously with only knowing the measurement outcomes of Alice. Our scheme realizes the synchronous transmission of different coded information. In addition, we analyze the impact of four distinct noises and calculate the fidelities of the output states.

The process parameters were optimized by simulation and verification experiments using orthogonal experimental design and the Taguchi method to lessen the tendency of significant shrinkage porosity in the centrifugal cast ring parts of K417 nickel-based superalloy. Advanced Porosity Model (APM) in ProCAST was used to predict the shrinkage porosity of centrifugal castings, and the effects of centrifugal speed, pouring speed, pouring temperature and preheating temperature of the mold were investigated on the shrinkage porosity ratio of the castings. According to the results, the parameter that has the greatest influence on the shrinkage porosity ratio of centrifugal casting is the centrifuge speed, followed by the preheating temperature of the mold, and the pouring temperature and pouring speed have relatively small effects on it. The optimized parameters were proposed as follows: centrifugal speed of 500 r/min, pouring speed of 225 mm/s, pouring temperature of 1400${}^{\circ }$, and mold preheating temperature of 50${}^{\circ }$, which could effectively reduce the formation of shrinkage porosity of the K417 centrifugal casting rings.

Pentamode metamaterial (PM) is an artificial solid form metamaterial with fluid characteristics. In this paper, a three-dimensional (3D) PMs based on multilayer cylindrical elements are proposed for increasing tunable structure parameters, obtaining great pentamodal property, reducing band gap frequency and decreasing connection overlap areas of elements. Compared with the PMs with double-cone elements, under the same parameters, the lower edge frequency of the single-mode band gaps can be reduced by 33.2%, the maximum value of figure of merit can be increased by 84.8% and the phononic band gaps can be reduced by 73.9%.

Due to the constant development of quantum radar technology, it has become increasingly important to study the scattering properties of quantum radars of typical targets. In this study, the analytical expression of the triangular pyramid is determined by solving the Fourier transform of each plane of the triangular pyramid, and their quantum radar scattering cross-section, to propose a solution to the equivalent transformation of the elevation angle and azimuth angle of the inclined plane. Besides, based on the simulation result of the triangular pyramid QRCS, it can be seen that the results obtained by using this calculation are consistent with the numerical solutions, and that the calculation time is significantly reduced.
