Ken Hickson is a writer with his finger on the pulse and his heart in the right place. Energetic and prolific, he has been editing a fortnightly newsletter abc carbon express for the past five years. He has produced hundreds of talks, lectures and articles for media — in print and online — the world over. He is the author of four non-fiction works: Flight 901 to Erebus, The Future South, Forty: Building a Future in Singapore and The ABC of Carbon: Issues and Opportunities in the Global Climate Change Environment. A journalist and communications specialist in New Zealand for 20 years, he came to Asia in 1983 as a consultant for Singapore Airlines. He set up his own communications consultancy with clients like DHL, BMW, Intel, Hitachi, Canon and Lend Lease. In 1996, Hickson PR was acquired by Fleishman Hillard. Ken lived in Australia from end 2000 for ten years. He was in demand as a consultant, writer and lecturer (as an adjunct associate professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast). He returned to Singapore in September 2010 to establish Sustain Ability Showcase Asia (SASA).
