Dr Helena FORSMAN has served the University of Tampere (Finland) in the capacity of a Professor in Business Management and the University of Winchester (UK) as a Reader in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In addition, she is providing leadership in the fields of knowledge exchange and entrepreneurship. Helena has more than 15 years' management experience in practical-oriented RD projects aiming at fostering business development and innovation, such as the ramp up of business and knowledge centres, RD departments and business incubation activities.
Helena's research interest focuses on business development and innovation management in the context of small business. She is especially interested in how the changes in competitive landscape are forcing small firms to change the way they innovate and run their businesses. She has been a productive author of academic publications. Recently, her articles have been published in International Journal of Innovation Management, Business Strategy and the Environment, European Journal of Innovation Management, International Journal of Technology Management and Research Policy.
