The Preparation of Dendritic Hyperbranched Maleate Resin and Its Application in UV-curable Coating
The first, second and third generation of dendritic hyperbranched polyester and dendritic hyperbranched maleate resin were synthesized and analyzed. FTIR and 1H-NMR determined the structures of the dendritic hyperbranched polyester and dendritic hyperbranched maleate resin. The viscosity and GPC measurements revealed that the polyesters held the lower viscosity and molecular weight distribution. The TGA and DSC measurements showed that the polyesters with the higher branched degree possessed better thermal stability and lower Tg. The dendritic hyperbranched maleate resins were used as prepolymer of UV coating, and the coating properties such as impact strength, adhesive strength, flexibility, hardness, the solvent resistances and gel content were contrasted. The results indicated that the coating of DHBP2-MA had better mechanical properties, solvent resistance and gel content. The dendritic hyperbranched maleate resin as a good macromolecule material would have an extensive foreground in UV coating system.
