The building light environment design of the existing old-age facilities is still in its infancy. It is very necessary to constitute the evaluation system and the design standards to create a good environment for the aged. This article is about the problems and thinking about the design planning and design guidelines of the building light environment of the facilities for the aged, which is in the research about “the building intelligent integral solution research of new facilities for the aged”, which is in the youth fund of the national natural science foundation of China.
