We explore the impact of positive news on rumor spreading in this paper. It is a fact that most of the rumors related to hot events or emergencies can be propagated rapidly on the hotbed of online social networks. In Chinese words, it is better to divert rather than block. Therefore, we propose the spreading model $IS{S}_{P}R$ in which positive news is a good factor to guide rumor spreading. Based on transition probability method, we have got the spreading parameters of the $IS{S}_{P}R$ model by running the rumor spreading process in online social networks with scale-free characteristics. The results give a good proof that improving the activity of the positive news spreader $S_P$ derived from the $IS{S}_{P}R$ model can guide and restrain the spreading speed of rumor smoothly.

Cardiovascular surgeons increasingly resort to catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic interventions because of their limited invasiveness. Although, these approaches allow treatment of patients considered unfit for conventional open surgery, exposure to radiation and high procedural complexity could lead to complications. These factors motivated the introduction of robotic technology offering more dexterous catheters, enhanced visualization and opening new possibilities in terms of guidance and coordinated control. In addition to improvements of patient outcome, through teleoperated catheter control radiation exposure of surgeons can be reduced. In order to limit surgical workload, intuitive mappings between joystick input and resulting catheter motion are essential. This paper presents and compares two proposed mappings and investigates the benefits of additional visual guidance. The comparison is based on data gathered during an experimental campaign involving 14 novices and three surgeons. The participants were asked to perform an endovascular task in a virtual reality simulator presented in the first part of this paper. Statistical results show significant superiority of one mapping with respect to the other and a significant improvement of performance thanks to additional visual guidance. Future work will focus on translating the results to a physical setup for surgical validation, also the learning effect will be analyzed more in-depth.

In addressing the challenges of short-range spacecraft docking in the presence of obstacles and disturbances, it is critical to integrate guidance and motion control to ensure autonomous and reliable operation. Traditional methods that separate these two layers often struggle with accurately tracking predefined paths, increasing the risk of collisions. In light of this, a proposed scheme integrating guidance and control in an organic manner has been put forth. This scheme employs the rapidly-exploring random trees (RRT) algorithm within the guidance layer to generate a collision-avoidance trajectory for the control layer, efficiently navigating the spacecraft towards its target. Then the control layer implements a second-order output-constrained controller by adding a power integrator and a novel barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) together, to guarantee that the tracking error of the predefined trajectory remains bounded and the system asymptotically converges to the target. To account for tracking errors, obstacle radii are expanded during path planning through a dilation constant. Based on theoretical derivation and simulation experiments, the effectiveness and advancement of the proposed method are validated.

Theta frequency at the prefrontal cortex (PFC) is often related to the cognitive process in early childhood. In the present study, we focused on the types of playing activities that could enhance the theta frequency in preschoolers at their PFC area with study on individual brainwaves. The selected playing activities included LEGO and wooden blocks with and without instruction, iPad apps and flash card comparison. A total of 12 individual cases were analyzed in this study. The mean theta amplitudes of their PFC were measured by an electroencephalogram (EEG). Children brainwaves showed profoundly high theta frequency while playing LEGO without guidance. Meanwhile, tablet-based computer educational tool with pictures, sound, and motion initiated greater theta frequency as compared to the conventional flash card. Brainwaves analysis is a great tool to determine the cognitive development of children, based on the types of activities allocated to them.

The United Kingdom regulatory landscape as it applies to cell-based therapies is rapidly evolving and constantly produces new information for researchers. This chapter brings together the plethora of information in the form of a process map of the key stages in the life cycle of a cell-based product, from cell/tissue procurement, processing and manufacture, through pre-clinical trials, clinical trials and on to commercialisation and post-launch activities. The critical components of each stage are described, and key issues which are pertinent to the UK researcher are discussed, for example, use of pre-clinical models, documentation requirements for clinical trials. The text goes on to identify which regulations, codes of practice and standards are already available for use in the UK and links them to the life cycle stages. The most recent regulation to be agreed in 2007 in Europe is also discussed. EC 1394/2007 is an amendment of EU Directive 2001/83/EC, and describes overarching regulations of advanced therapy medicinal products (which encompasses cell-based therapeutics).

It is intended that this PAS acts as a quick reference source to increase clarity for users on the requirements needed for exploitation of a cell-based therapy in the UK, rather than an in-depth examination of the supporting literature.

The advent of big data has created new opportunities for money managers. In the field of earnings expectations big data will fuel the next leap forward in modeling. The first breakthrough in the field was the creation of quantitative models using expectations of future earnings collected from analysts. The earnings surprise model was the first model to take advantage by comparing expectations to actual earnings. Next came the earnings revision models which looked at how estimates changed over time. Both proved highly predictive of future firm performance. Models since then have been limited to manipulating the data collected by vendors and put into databases. Big data allows money managers to bypass the data vendors and collect information directly from the source. In the case of earnings expectations, managers can get information directly from company management in the form of earnings call transcripts. This information can be processed by the manager to create signals that are as powerful as the original earnings surprise and earnings revision signals.

The paper mainly studies a kind of network simulation technology when it is necessary to offer terminal guidance for the sake of having multiple missile work cooperatively. To overcome the vulnerabilities of cooperative terminal guidance, which include frequent variation of network topology and complex traffic, a novel TDMA time-slot assignment scheme and synchronization alignment methods are brought forward. Moreover, a simulated model based on data-link networks is developed using OPNET [4] software. In accordance with the HLA distributed simulation principals, a repeated data-link network simulation system is accomplished to meet the need of accurate strike under the cooperative terminal guidance.
