The effective interaction of a pseudoscalar particle with photon in plasma with the presence of a constant uniform magnetic field is investigated. It is shown that under some physical conditions, the effective coupling between pseudoscalar particle and photon does not depend on medium parameters and particles momentum. The probability of the familon decays into photon pair in a strongly magnetized degenerate ultrarelativistic plasma is calculated.

In this paper, we theoretically investigate the transmittance characteristics of one-dimensional defective photonic crystal in microwave radiations based on the fundamentals of the characteristic matrix method. Here, the defect layer is magnetized plasma. The numerical results show the appearance of defect peaks inside the Photonic Band Gap. The external magnetic field has a significant effect on the permittivity of the defect layer. Therefore, the position and intensity of the defect peak are strongly affected by the external magnetic field. Moreover, we have investigated the different parameters on the defect peaks as the plasma density, the thickness of the plasma layer and the angle of incidence. Wherefore, the proposed structure could be the cornerstone for many applications in microwave regions such as narrowband filters.

Under investigation in this paper is a (3 + 1)-dimensional modified Korteweg–de Vries–Zakharov–Kuznetsov (KdV-ZK) equation, which describes the nonlinear behaviors of ion-acoustic waves in a magnetized plasma where the cooler ions are treated as a fluid with adiabatic pressure and the hot isothermal electrons are described by a Boltzmann distribution. With the Hirota method and symbolic computation, we obtain the one-, two- and three-soliton solutions for such an equation. We graphically study the solitons related with the coefficient of the cubic nonlinearity $M$. Amplitude of the one soliton increases with increasing $M$, but the width of one soliton keeps unchanged as $M$ increases. The two solitons and three solitons are parallel, and the amplitudes of the solitons increase with increasing $M$, but the widths of the solitons are unchanged. It is shown that the interactions between the two solitons and among the three solitons are elastic.

This study focuses on electron acceleration and wakefield produced by Gaussian and Super-Gaussian (SG) laser pulses through plasma medium in the attendance of an external magnetic field. Two shapes of different laser spatial profiles Gaussian and SG are considered. Besides, governing equations for analysis of laser wakefield and electron acceleration by using of hydrodynamics fluid equations, Maxwell’s equations and perturbation technique for Gaussian and SG laser pulses in weakly nonlinear regime have been derived. In addition, influence of the external magnetic field strengths, laser intensity, the pulselength, the plasma electron density and the laser frequency on the wakefield and the electron energy gain have been investigated. Numerical results indicate that by increasing of external magnetic field, the amplitude of wakefield increases. Moreover, it is observed that wakefield amplitude excited by SG laser pulse in comparison with Gaussian laser pulse is larger when external magnetic field is increased. Furthermore, it is found that wakefield amplitude and shape of wakefield generation in within homogeneous plasma greatly are related to the laser profile type, selected laser parameters and external magnetic field. In addition, it is seen that influence of external magnetic field, while laser intensity enhances, on the electron energy gain in SG and Gaussian laser pulses is insignificant.

We examine the impact of the hot drifting electron on stimulated Raman backscattering, which is coupled to decay instability, in a magnetized plasma. Through parametric coupling, this produces a plasma wave that moves forward and an electromagnetic wave that shifts downward. The plasma wave produced by stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in this process decays into an ion-acoustic wave and a secondary, longer-wavelength Langmuir wave traveling opposite to the ion-acoustic wave. This energy diversion and attenuation of the primary Langmuir wave by drifting electrons limit the amplitude of SRS. In the presence of drifting electrons, the SRS is suppressed significantly and the plasma wave is attenuated resonantly at a higher rate.

This study employs three advanced computational and numerical techniques to solve the nonlinear fractional modified Korteweg–de Vries–Zakharov–Kuznetsov (mKdV–ZK) equation in magnetized plasma. The reductive perturbation approach is utilized to investigate the dynamics of various components, namely isothermal species, immobile background species, and warm adiabatic fluid, in magnetized plasma. Emphasis is placed on unraveling the asymmetrical propagation characteristics of nonlinear electrostatic waves. The model’s solutions encompass diverse types of solitons, including ion-acoustic, dust acoustic, and electron acoustic solitons. Analytical solutions are obtained using a variety of mathematical functions, such as exponents, trigonometry, and hyperbolas. Two- and three-dimensional density graphs illustrate the practical behavior of a single soliton. The primary objective of employing numerical schemes is to assess the accuracy of the derived solutions, and the outcomes demonstrate the efficacy of the analytical method in solving nonlinear mathematical and physical problems. Several techniques are employed to validate the consistency between calculated and estimated results, ensuring the study’s accuracy and reliability. Overall, this investigation underscores the effectiveness of numerical and analytical techniques in tackling complex mathematical models, offering a promising avenue for future research in the field. The findings carry significant implications for comprehending nonlinear phenomena in magnetized plasma and contribute to advancing the field.
