Hybrid nanofluids efficiently transfer heat electronics and industrial operations by combining two nanoparticles in a base fluid. Recently hybrid nanofluids have replaced more traditional mono nanofluids flows to improve heat transmission. An assessment of hydrodynamics flow is conducted, examining the influence of Ohmic dissipation and variable porosity on two-dimensional hybrid nanofluid flow in an exponentially elastic sheet. Additionally, the thermal performance of hybrid nanofluid flow toward an elastic porous surface has been assessed in the presence of thermal radiation, Ohmic heating, and heat source. The hybrid nanofluid is made up of the suspension of two different nanoparticles, i.e. Magnesium oxide (MgO) and Zinc oxide (ZnO), in a base fluid water. Following the implementation of similarity transformations, the leading equations are converted into a series of ordinary differential equations, which are solved numerically using the Runge–Kutta fourth-order with shooting technique. The behavioral flow on heat transmission for different parameter dominance is illustrated using graphs and tables.

Swirling flows are important in rheological devices, spin coatings and lubrication, so we set out to investigate what makes chemically reactive non-Newtonian spinning flows across a disk with a radially applied magnetic field so interesting. Nanofluids are thermally enhanced working fluids with many interesting physical properties. This study takes its inspiration from rotating disk oxidations used in the medical techno industry and builds a mathematical model of a continuous convective von Kármán swirling flow including Jeffrey, magnetic, Joule/ohmic and chemical reactions. The wall anisotropy slips and the concentration-induced blowing effects are included. By using the bvp4c approach, the transformed boundary conditions (BCs) are addressed. Graphical representations of the effects of involved parameters on the density distribution of motile microorganisms, concentration, temperature and dimensionless velocity components are shown. Supporting evidence from prior research is included. Novel bioreactors, membrane oxygenators, bio-chromatography and food processing should take note of the study’s findings. As Jeffrey’s parameter upsurges, there is a decrease in radial velocity. As the Jeffrey parameter increases, there is a decrease in the circumferential velocity. Radial flow is significantly enhanced near the wall as the radial slip parameter ($\delta u)$ increases. As the Eckert number grows, the quantity of temperature increases. Concentration distribution closer to the disk to grow as Le increases. The concentration and diffusivity of microorganisms drop as the number of motile microorganisms thickens.

Ferroliquids are made out of exceptionally tiny nanoscale particles (usually diameter 10 nanometers or less) of hematite, magnetite or some other compound comprising iron and a liquid. This is small enough for thermal agitation to scatter them equally inside a transporter liquid, and for them to contribute to general magnetic response of the liquid. The composition of the typical ferroliquid is about 5% magnetic solids, 10% surfactant and 85% carrier by volume. There are frequent applications of ferrofluids in mechanical and industrial engineering. Ferrofluids have innovative characteristics and their impact in magnetic fields prompts many fascinating applications. Albeit magnetic liquids are already utilized in certain devices they have not yet been abused to any level. It is trusted that this research communication may investigate the analyst to think of considering new uses for this entrancing material. Therefore, modeling is developed for the ferrofluid stagnation flow over a stretched surface with Ohmic heating and dissipation. The Tiwari–Das model is used for mathematical modeling of nanofluid. The nonlinear system of differential equations is first converted into first order and then tackled through the built-in-Shooting method. The impact of the different pertinent flow parameters is discussed on the velocity, temperature, Nusselt number and skin friction coefficient through the various plots and tables.

This research paper shows the insight into the study of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) reactive nanomaterial flow of Newtonian fluid with Silver (Ag), Ferric Oxide (Fe₃O₄) and Copper (Cu) towards a stretchable surface. The flow is generated subject to stretchable surface with porosity effect. Mixed convection, which is a combination of both free and forced convections, is accounted. The heat source/sink, chemical reaction, Joule heating and activation energy effects are considered in the development of energy and concentration equations. The system of considered problem is solved numerically via shooting method (boundary value problem fourth convergence (bvp4c)) and outcomes are sketched graphically. The engineering impact i.e., skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number is discussed via different parameters and results are displayed in tabular form. The important and main points are listed in the final remarks of the paper. The used nanoparticles have numerous applications in medical industry, applications in sustainability of natural resources and applied mathematics and physics. Also, these nanoparticles can be utilized in engineering sciences, biophysics, high-temperature and cooling process, space technology, biosensors, medicines, cosmetics, paints, medical devices and conductive coatings.

This model is designed to provide clarity on how blood travels through tiny veins in physiological systems with heat and mass transfer characteristics. Further, the purpose of this paper is to examine the Ohmic heating and heat source/sink effects on peristaltic transport of radiative Casson nanofluid in a nonuniform porous inclined channel in the presence of a normal/inclined magnetic field. We also considered the sway of chemical reaction, Soret and Dufour effects. The momentum, temperature and mass equations for Casson fluid model are obtained with the utilization of the lubrication approach. The exact solutions have been acquired for stream function and axial velocity. Further, the temperature and concentration equations are solved numerically by using the R–K based shooting method. We also tabulated the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers for various relevant parameters. Finally, the impacts of all major factors on the physical properties of the flow for both normal and inclined magnetic fields are explored and discussed in depth using graphs. The Casson fluid velocity is more for an inclined magnetic field than a normal magnetic field. The nonuniform parameter of the channel boosts the trapped fluid bolus size. The heat source/sink parameter improves the temperature field but the opposite trend is observed in the field of concentration. Moreover, the findings are validated with the existing works for some special circumstances.

The non-Newtonian liquid scheme is created to address the limitations of the classical (Newtonian) scheme in terms of accurately reflecting real-world fluid flow behavior in industrial applications and improving operational efficiency. The Reiner–Philippoff model, one of the many extant models, modeling non-Newtonian fluids, is of concern because it only captures a few features in some circumstances. Thus, this study aims to investigate the theoretical aspects of Cattaneo–Christov for heat diffusion fusion of Reiner–Philippoff liquid stream in the presence of Darcy–Forchheimer media. Furthermore, the procedure of heat transport is taken out in the occurrence of nonlinear heat radiative, viscous dissipation and Ohmic heating. The partial derivatives of nonlinear differential equations are changed into similarity equations of a certain form by using appropriate similarity transformations. Furthermore, the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method with shooting approach is utilized to solve the dimensionless model. The influence of pertinent fluid flow parameters is illustrated graphically. The further engineering curiosity of a local Nusselt number is illustrated and analyzed. It is found that velocity curve is boosted with the augmenting scales of Reiner–Philippoff liquid parameter and Forchheimer number. Further, it is analyzed that increasing the thermal relaxation parameter and Eckert number reduces the heat transport rate at the surface.

In this study, we have analyzed magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) consequences on the heat and mass transmission within unsteady dissipated liquid film flow. Flow is generated due to stretchable surface accompanied with effects of ohmic heating, chemical reaction and heat absorption. Moreover, the flow governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are further modified into equivalent ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by applying regular perturbation method to get its analytical solution after that we have applied sixth-order Runge–Kutta technique to get its numerical solution. These two solutions are validating each other in the simulations. Figures are plotted to study the changes in physical quantities like skin friction coefficient, concentration, velocity, temperature, Sherwood and Nusselt number with the variations of Prandtl numbers Pr, parameters of chemical reaction $\beta$, Eckert numbers Ec, magnetic parameter Ha (also known as Hartman number) Schmidt number and coefficient of heat absorption $\mathrm{\Delta }$.

Magnetorheological fluid with self-driven ubiquitous motile organisms was affected by various physical factors such as hydrodynamics, dispersion, and distribution of organisms. These fascinating properties attracted us to work on this paper, a Casson hybrid nanoflow model exploring the dynamic behavior of microorganisms along spongy extensible surfaces taking Ohmic heating and chemical reaction into account. Further, the heat transfer phenomena are analyzed in the presence of thermal radiation and space and time-dependent energy sources/sinks. The nanoflow has its base methanol and a mixture of iron and aluminum oxides is suspended. Flow obeying mathematical model is solved numerically using the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg technique along with the shooting method after imposing self-similarity transformation. Results of various pertinent parameters on the flow characteristic quantities and engineering quantities are portrayed and presented through graphs and tables. Iron oxide methanol nanofluid shows supremacy over hybrid nanoflows as speed is considered, whilst the opposite phenomenon is observed in the case of energy. Hybrid nanoflow makes the surface friction-free. Microorganism concentration difference improvement also helps in the intensification of motile organism growth.

Non-Newtonian fluids display fascinating and versatile flow behavior, enabling applications in fields where precise control and manipulation of viscosity are required. This paper presents the rheology of Homann stagnation point flow for a Jeffrey fluid containing gyrotactic microorganisms over a biaxially stretching surface. The system of equations is solved numerically using appropriate similarity transformations and conditions. The boundary conditions are set to maintain a fixed physical environment, and the far field values are defined accordingly. The dual solutions are found and expressed in terms of relevant quantities, and their behavior is analyzed using graphical representations via bvp5c. Stability analysis is conducted as well. The model is extended to study the behavior of Jeffrey nanofluids under the influence of various physical phenomena such as thermophoresis, Brownian motion, Ohmic heating, heat source/sink, radiation, and chemical reaction. The model presented in this paper can help researchers predict and optimize the behavior of such systems for a range of industrial and biomedical applications. It is observed that when the smallest eigenvalue is positive, the disturbance initially decreases, and the flow is stable, otherwise unstable. The stretching/shrinking parameters affect the flow field and boundary layer characteristics, leading to changes in the skin friction forces and an increase in the skin friction coefficient. Moreover, the Peclet number augmented the concentration of microorganisms due to gyrotactic bioconvection for first and second solutions, whereas bioconvective Lewis number shows an opposite trend. The comparison of the present results, as a simplified case, with existing literature demonstrates good agreement.

The fluid flow over rotating disk has various applications in the field of medical sciences, science and engineering i.e. medical equipment, gas turbine rotors, rheometers, oceanic circulation, and computer storage devices. Keeping this in mind, the task of this study is to observe the tangent hyperbolic fluid flow behaviors through a rotating disk in the presence of Ohmic heating, thermal radiation, viscous dissipation and heating due to porous media. The bvp4c numerical method is applied to solve the transformed governing equations. The impact of acting parameters i.e. magnetic field, porosity parameter, radiation, Weissenberg number and Eckert number on the velocities (radial, azimuthal and axial) and temperature distributions are revealed through graphs for the case of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids by considering no rotation ($\omega =0$) and rotation parameter ($\omega =1$). From the results, it is noticed that the resistivity offered by the increasing porosity increases the rate of heat transfer in magnitude for the case of no rotation while in case of rotation, it retards significantly. For the validation of this study, a comparison of our results with previous published work is conducted.

Peristalsis of non-Newtonian nanofluid via a non-uniform conduit has several applications in physiology and industry. This study proposes a mathematical model as well as exploration of the impacts of entropy generation for peristalsis of magneto nanofluid with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity via an expanding asymmetric channel. Buongiorno’s model for study of nanofluid flow has been adopted. Rheological aspects are accounted using the Carreau–Yasuda model due to its experimentally validated significance. Impacts of applied electric and magnetic fields have been taken into account. Thermophoresis, ohmic heating, viscous heating and Brownian motion effects are incorporated in the model. Numerical method is used via NDSolve in Mathematica after implementing the lubrication approach and Debye–Huckel linearization. The effects of embedded parameters on the flow, heat transfer, entropy generation and Bejan number are studied using graphical depictions. Outcomes indicate that a rise in electroosmotic parameter enhances heat transfer rate, whereas it reduces entropy generation and mass transfer rate at the boundary. Therefore, this study can provide basics to study nanofluidic systems which has applications in drug delivery. Increasing trends for temperature, heat transfer rate and entropy generation, while declining trends in the concentration of the particles are noted for higher joule heating.

This research leads to carrying out the productivity and the efficiency of the carbon nanotubes (CNTs) that have extensive applications in solar collectors. Due to the superior thermal as well as electrical properties, the use of CNTs has an important contribution to the nanotechnology revolution. Therefore, owing to the aforementioned vital points, this investigation intended to put forth the thermophysical properties of both single and multi-walled CNT nanofluids past a stretching surface. Additionally, an electrically conducting nanofluid flow phenomenon enriches due to the inclusion of dissipation (Ohmic heating) and external heat source/sink. The dimensional form of the three-dimensional fluid flow phenomena is transformed to a non-dimensional form with the use of similarity transformation and further numerical procedure is implemented to solve the nonlinear governing equations. The substantial significance of the characterizing parameters is presented briefly via figures and the comparative analysis with the earlier investigation is deployed through the table. However, the main findings of this study are as follows: A significant attenuation in the shear rate is marked for the enhanced inertial drag but it augments for the augmented values of the magnetization; further, particle concentrations of both the CNTs favor accelerating the fluid momentum as well as temperature distribution.

This paper deals with the study of experimental current intensity/voltage characteristics of a free burning arc that appears to be singular: At low intensity current, the arc voltage decreases until a minimum value, corresponding to a critical current intensity I_c. For current intensities higher than I_c, there is an increase of the arc voltage with the current intensity. Dimensional analysis and Pi theorem coupled with a large set of experimental data allow us to evaluate the main physical processes responsible for the characteristics shape. At low current intensity, the plasma is mostly driven by thermal conduction effects while at high current intensity, it is principally governed by radiation losses. Finally, the results obtained from dimensional analysis allow to propose a 1D numerical simulation of the plasma column that gives rather good qualitative results.

On account of the significance of entropy generation and bioconvection in biomedical and bioengineering, valuable contributions have been made by scientists in the present decade. The current study explores the impact of entropy generation, bioconvection of microorganisms, and Ohmic heating on the peristaltic transport of Williamson fluid containing molybdenum disulfide and silver nanoparticles through an endoscope with a long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions. The second law of thermodynamics is used to examine the entropy generation, and also Ohmic heating effect is used in the system. Between two coaxial tubes, a non-Newtonian Williamson fluid with molybdenum disulfide and silver nanoparticles is considered. The Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is applied to describe the nonlinear partial differential equations. We were able to arrive at analytical solutions for velocity, nanoparticle concentration, microbes’ density, and temperature. In the end, the impact of distinct physical parameters on temperature, nanoparticle concentration, velocity, microorganism density, entropy generation, Bejan number, and the heat transfer rate was graphically depicted. The significant outcome of the present study is that the impact of the Peclet number enhances the velocity profile. But Peclet number and bioconvection constantly decline the density of motile microorganisms. One more significant outcome is that the Brinkman number declines the entropy generation near the inner tube and in the rest of the part, enhances the entropy generation. Brinkman number enhances the heat transfer rate. These findings have applications in biological sciences, engineering, geothermal energy, and industry, including the construction of microbial fuel cells and bio-convection nanotechnology devices. Microorganisms are beneficial in the degradation of biomaterials, resulting in the production of oxygen and the preservation of human health.

In order to prolong the shelf-life of the minced fish products at room temperature, a novel combined sterilization method was proposed. Bacillus subtilis was chosen as the indicator bacteria, because it is one of the most heat-resistant bacteria probably exists in fish products. A self-made ohmic heating system was used to inactivate the indicator bacteria in the surimi firstly. After sterilized by ohmic heating system, the samples were vacuum-packed and put into an incubator at 35 °C for several hours to give the favorable growth condition to the remained spores of Bacillus subtilis. Then the second sterilization can proceed – heating them by boiling water for several minutes. Response Surface Design was used to determine the optimal sterilization parameters including: electric field intensity 40 V/cm, sterilization time of ohmic heating 5 min, culture time in an incubator 12 h, and heating time by boiling water 25 min. The results demonstrated that the minced fish products with high sensory quality and having 15 days the shelf-life at the room temperature can be obtained by using the proposed sterilization method.
