Submission Guidelines
- Climate Change Economics publishes quarterly peer- reviewed, full-length research papers, solicited reviews and letters to the Managing Editor. The Editor will play an active role in ensuring the soundness, timeliness, originality and readability of the papers published and, in consonance with the journal's aim of being interdisciplinary in character, the Editor will also uphold the journal's need for a balanced mix of subject material.
- All papers submitted must be original works which have not been published previously and must be submitted exclusively to CCE. Following acceptance, the Publisher reserves copyright of all published materials and such materials may not be reproduced in any form without the written permission of the Publisher.
- All papers will be acknowledged and refereed. They will not be returned. The review process is double-blind: reviewers are unaware of the authors’ identities and feedback to authors is anonymous. To assist this process, please only identify authors on the cover page. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts for reasons of style and content. Manuscripts with excessive typographical errors may be returned to authors for retyping. Compliance by authors to requested revisions does not automatically bind the Journal to publish the article.
- Authors should submit online at http://www.editorialmanager.com/cce/login.asp. It is a priority of this journal to minimise publication lead-time, so the main or corresponding authors should, where possible, provide an e-mail address, fax and telephone numbers. Papers should include an abstract of not more than 150 words. Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not actively under consideration for publication in other journals. Once the paper is accepted, authors are assumed to cede copyrights of the paper over to Imperial College Press.
- If a paper is accepted for publication, the final version should be sent timely in Microsoft Word format labelled with author name(s); title of article; journal title; file name. Figures, embedded in the text, should be black and white (or half-tone) and of a good resolution and sharpness. In the case of MS-Word files, figures may be embedded; otherwise, they should be supplied separately. Compressed formats, such as JPEG, should not use heavy compression, which introduces undesirable artifacts. Bitmap figures, such as photographs or half-tone images, should be at least 300dpi (TIFF, BMP, or JPEG). Vector (line-art) figures, such as charts and technical drawings, should be 600- 1200dpi (EPS, PS, PDF). In the case of a multi-author paper, the cover letter should designate a single author responsible tor all future communication. This will facilitate the formatting for publication. Authors are allowed to check their proofs before publication and they must be returned to the Publisher by the stipulated date.
- Letters to the Managing Editor and short correspondences are also encouraged. Such submissions will generally be reviewed by the Editorial Board. Invited papers and tutorial articles will be published on a periodic basis. Book reviews are also encouraged.
- Suggestions for special issues are welcome. To propose a special issue, a two-page proposal should be submitted to the Managing Editor containing the following information: title, purposes, scope, a list of potential contributors, time-table (submission and review deadlines, intended publication date), and guest editor's address, phone, fax and e-mail address. Once approved, the guest editor will be fully responsible for the special issue and should follow the normal review procedure of this journal.
- Papers are published without charge, and the main author will receive the published pdf version. For a multi-author paper, these will be sent to the author designated as the contact person.
- Your journal articles can now be made available with full open access for a publication fee of US$2000 per article! To find out more about this exciting new feature, visit http://www.worldscientific.com/page/authors/openaccess for more information.
