Coadaptation is one of the relational capabilities (RC) dimensions and it refers to the ability organizations have to adapt resources to increase the benefits provided by their partnerships. It is in this scenario that this research lies since it aimed to compare the similarities of the coadaptation dimension in cooperations for the development of non-profit (Group N) and profit-oriented (Group P) technologies. Factors such as “adaptation to partners” were mentioned in Group P. However, in Group N, “increased social credibility” was more cited. This research helps deepen the knowledge about non-profit-oriented technologies cooperation and the coadaptation dimension. Future research can discuss similar issues but addressing the other dimensions.

As information technologies continue to evolve, the gap between those who were born before (digital immigrants) and after (digital natives) the technology revolution continues to widen. Building on the technology acceptance model, we examine the determinants and influences on attitudes towards using FinTech services and analyze differences in attitudes between the two categories of consumers. The results show the relevance of digital literacy, financial literacy, perceived ease of use and the personal habits of consumers in prompting a positive attitude towards the use of FinTech services. Digital natives have stronger personal habits oriented towards information systems; they rate their own levels of digital literacy higher and also perceive ease of use in FinTech. Digital immigrants rate their levels of financial literacy higher. The research highlights the relevance of improving the financial literacy of digital natives and the digital literacy of digital immigrants. Moreover, it is important to investigate further measures that would increase the perceived ease of use of FinTech by digital immigrants.

Business model innovations (BMIs) are a promising approach to be successful in hyper-competition. There are several approaches for the systematic development of BMI. Within these approaches, however, companies are faced with major challenges, especially, in the decision-making process. On the one hand, certain information is not available, and on the other hand, cause-and-effect relationships within the innovation networks or systems are not known. In certain contexts, simulations can close this gap. Thus, this paper addresses the research question of how simulations can be systematically integrated into BMI approaches. Therefore, BMI processes and different simulation applications are reviewed, the aspect of BMI prototyping is identified and an extended BMI approach is developed, which systematically integrates simulations.

Projects start with an idea, which is deployed into a set of actions to deliver expected or foreseen outcomes, and they should be carried out in a cohesive and unified context. In this paper, contributions are devised to integrate project management and technology transfer practices to drive the transformation of knowledge into innovation within the scope of research and development projects at universities and research laboratories or centers. These contributions are presented in the form of a conceptual model that includes three interrelated groups. The first group is focused on project ideas’ definition and selection, the second group on project management, and the third group on knowledge and technology transfer, these groups are supported by improvement, innovation and project management guidelines and standards. To obtain insights to define the model, quantitative and qualitative methods have been used and the data was processed using content analysis and descriptive and inferential techniques meant to ensure the complementarity of the data to obtain a holistic understanding of the practices under analysis. The approach was exploratory and descriptive, but also analytical in the sense that it states the issues at stake to support project management and technology transfer.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a framework that explains the interdependency of organizations and different social networks in the process of organizational innovation adoption (OIA). We first develop a taxonomy of social networks relevant to OIA and then a conceptual framework based on a review of existing frameworks. Furthermore, a case study was conducted with two cases and six embedded units of analysis. The review of existing frameworks for OIA shows that the importance of social networks has not yet been fully addressed. The analysis of the cases reveals four types of influence (comparison, argumentation, reciprocal learning, and alignment) through which social networks influence the OIA on micro, meso and macro levels. Our results help to better understand how the adoption of innovations proceeds in organizations against the background of the increasing importance of social networks and concepts such as open innovation.

This paper focuses on university–industry relationships, and the value in such linkages that motivates firms to choose a particular mode to acquire university-generated research output. We combined insights from literature review and 15 exploratory interviews of multiple stakeholders, and developed a framework to examine university–industry linkages. We grounded our framework on the social exchange theory (SET) and quadruple helix concept. It proposes university climate readiness (e.g. incentive system), firm climate readiness (e.g. managers’ attitude toward academic research), and exchange readiness (e.g. a firm’s absorptive capacity) as antecedents to science-business collaboration, coupled with environmental readiness factors (e.g. unique socio-cultural setting in developing economies) as moderating variables. The framework highlights (1) functional value (i.e. technology pricing, quality, and applicability) and (2) relational value (i.e. trust between academia and industry) in the said relationship. The framework further provides a basis for practitioners to arrive at a suitable university-developed technology transfer mode (e.g. patent licensing, research services, and research partnerships).

The advent of social media allows SMEs to use marketing information gleaned from social media to develop functions that enable them to serve their customers better. Small businesses can improve their communication with customers through social media to understand their ideas and thereby increase their profits. Small businesses can gain brand awareness on social media at a lower cost, as consumers can spread word of mouth to more potential customers on social media. SMEs can get information about changing customer preferences for products and services by communicating with customers on social media. Marketing insights gained from social media can support innovative strategies to improve retailer performance. SMEs can use information obtained from customers via social media to make accurate and timely brand innovation decisions. This research uses the PLS-SEM method to study the relationship between social factors in information processing and customer relationship performance. Data collection using interviews and distributing questionnaires to SME merchants. This study aims to influence customer relationship performance by studying the impact of social customer relationship management (s-CRM) and customer relationship store positioning on customer engagement and social information processes.

How to promote deep knowledge transfer and knowledge application during the process of R&D achievements delivery? This paper takes knowledge transfer as the research object. First of all, the path of knowledge transfer during the process of R&D achievements delivery is drawn. Next, the status of knowledge transfer is assessed by constructing users’ tolerance zone model by selecting key factors in the path of knowledge transfer. Empirical research finds the following conclusions: knowledge transfer experience${}_{-\mathrm{\text{actual}}}$, knowledge transfer distance and knowledge transfer carrier have a positive influence on the actual service level of knowledge transfer. Knowledge transfer experience${}_{-\mathrm{\text{ideal}}}$, continuous strengthening behavior and knowledge service commitment have a positive impact on the ideal service level of knowledge transfer. Then, based on knowledge transfer path and users’ tolerance zone model, this paper explores the knowledge navigation model from the environment, main structure and transmission mode. Finally, from the perspective of knowledge transfer environment, knowledge transfer subject, knowledge transfer object and knowledge transfer mode, the relevant strategies were put forward to reduce knowledge retention, and promote the deep knowledge absorption and transformation during the process of R&D achievements delivery.
