The single crystalline diethyl 3,3${}^{\prime }$-[(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methylidene]bis(1H-indole-2-carboxylate) (D32DMBC) samples are fully grown-up in a proper and in a successful manner by the prevailing slowly evaporating methodology. The lattice cell frameworks by XRD modus operandi also corroborated that the D32DMBC crystal system is monoclinic in nature. The structural properties by a conceptual way authenticate the elucidation and also the proper vindication for bond parameters. The nano influx is 3.2768 micron and the film-coated influx of 2.9977 microns as a mid-value between the macro as well as the nano assessment is suitable for electronic filters by D32DMBC crystals, and also used for tribological-coated utility as well as in frequency multipliers. In recent trends, digital systems in the light of power dissipation are a crucial issue. In computing, the computational process of reversible logic is bijective and can decrease the rising issue of power dissipation. In reversible circuit design, Peres gate considered as one of the fundamental reversible gate. Therefore, a Peres gate using Add/Drop Multiplexer (ADM) and Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (RSOA) is proposed in this paper. Frequency encoding scheme and dibit-based logic are incorporated here. In long range transmission, frequency encoding bears huge benefits in respect with the other encoding techniques. This encoding technique may decrease the probability of bit error. Due to the high gain and low noise property of RSOA, the proposed design can perform operations like computation, data processing, etc. at ultra-high speed with low noise. MATLAB Simulink (R2018a) software has been used to verify the operation of the proposed design.

In this paper, we report the significance of the double Stokes–Mueller polarimetry (DSMP) technique, to characterize a large size ($3\times 3\times 5$mm) Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) crystal. The crystal undergoes second harmonic generation with type II phase matching. The study of standard KTP crystal using the DSMP technique helps to validate the efficiency of this technique. We were able to extract the crystal’s double Mueller matrix, relative contribution of the susceptibility tensor components, the phase difference between the susceptibility tensor components, etc. We could determine the crystal axes orientation using this optical technique, which was not possible through a single crystal X-Ray diffraction technique for such a large size crystal for which both optic axes and crystallographic axes are the same. Axes direction determined from polarization microscope measurements and Laue diffraction measurements on KTP crystal is compared with those obtained from DSMP measurements.

Single crystals of zinc sulfate doped L-alanine (LAZ) were grown by adopting the slow evaporation technique at room temperature. The crystal structure of LAZ was determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The functional groups of LAZ were identified by FT-IR spectroscopy analysis. UV–Visible–NIR transmittance study was carried out, and the bandgap energy was found. A fluorescence study was performed to get the emission spectrum of the LAZ crystal. The Vickers microhardness test is used to determine the LAZ crystals mechanical behavior. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses have also been studied to investigate the thermal property of the LAZ crystal. The efficiency of the title crystal’s second harmonic generation (SHG) was investigated. The electrical properties were estimated by impedance study.

MAPbBr₃ quantum dots in SiO₂ mesopores ($\sim 4.4$nm) were prepared by the spin-coating method, and their luminescence and nonlinear optical properties were studied by time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) and Z-scan techniques. The results showed that the absorption and photoluminescence peaks are at 464nm and 476nm, respectively. The TRPL spectroscopy showed two relaxation processes, a short lifetime (1.04ns) and a long lifetime (4.49ns), attributed to the trap–capture recombination and the electron–hole radiative recombination, respectively. Two-photon absorption (TPA) coefficient was 529cm/GW at 800nm. The nonlinear signal changed from TPA to saturable absorption with increase in light intensity.

We have numerically generated the rogue waves supported by discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation (DNLSE). The investigation has been made on pure cubic DNLSE as well as on cubic-quintic discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation (CQDNLSE). Runge–Kutta fourth (RK4) order method has been employed to obtain these results. For the cubic DNLSE breathers are found to be localized in one of the dimensions and periodic in the other dimensions, whereas rogue waves are found to be appearing from nowhere and disappearing without a trace. For CQDNLSE it is reported that the sign of quintic term possesses a significant effect on the intensity of the rogue waves. Further these waves are appearing from nowhere but instead of disappearing these show periodic reappearance. For larger value of quintic coefficient this phenomenon is visible at shorter length scale. Breathers are reported for the first time for the cubic DNLSE. The obtained results for CQDNLSE are unobserved previously in any constant coefficient discrete nonlinear equation.

In this paper, solitons solutions of higher-order dispersive cubic–quintic Schrödinger equationincluding third-order as well as fourth-order derivatives with respect to time, that describes the dynamics of ultrashort pulses in optical fibers are investigated in detail. In this respect,a solution procedure in the locality of applied mathematics called the hyperbolic function method is appliedusing multi-linear variable separation approach (MLVSA). As an outcome, a bunch of soliton solutions isderived in conjunction with plotting dark and periodic wave solutions. The credibility of the results is examined by setting each solution back into its governing equation. Through portraits, different forms of wave solutions are depicted. Moreover, the restrictions on the parameters are also given for the existence of the obtained solutions.

We investigate the effect of temperature on Manakov solitons in biased photorefractive crystals having both linear and quadratic electro-optic effects simultaneously. Two different physical quantities, namely, the dielectric constant and the dark irradiance, have a temperature dependence which in turn affects the Manakov solitons. We consider three realizations of the Manakov solitons for our present analysis, namely, the bright–bright, dark–dark and bright–dark Manakov soliton pair. The existence curve and its modification due to temperature has been studied in detail for each of the Manakov soliton pair. A comprehensive investigation of the functional dependence of the soliton width with temperature is undertaken for different parameters like beam intensity and external electric field for each of the Manakov soliton pair. The tuning of photorefractive soliton characteristics by changing of temperature has potential practical applications in optical networks and optical waveguiding.

In this paper, we propose a hybrid amplifier-based 8-port Cross-Polarization Modulation (XPoM) interconnection with low polarization sensitivity unlike conventional Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA)-based switching. The three-stage configuration utilizes Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) as an intermediate stage to reduce the effects of inherent polarization modulation creating large Transverse Electric – Transverse Magnetic (TE–TM) relative phase shifts. The appreciable error rate of $e^{-16}$ and Extinction Ratio (ER) of 14.166 dB have been obtained with 100 GHz of port-spacing at different input powers. The low Polarization-Dependent Loss (PDL) of 1.0045 dB, small variations of azimuth and ellipticity with device angle in S–E–S configuration in contrast to that of SOA, adds to the superiority of the proposed model.

The model of ($2+1$)-dimensional breaking soliton equation is proposed, and the novel soliton solutions are derived by using the variable separation and extended mapping approach of Riccati equation and then, the propagation dynamics of the solutions which include multi-dromions, ring breather, fusion solitons and other multi-solitons are also constructed. Furthermore, the rich local excitations and fractal structures are investigated. The simulation results verify the proposed scheme. It can get more abundant local excitation structures than the ($1+1$)-dimensional nonlinear systems and it has potential values for certain applications in optical field.
