Narrow Results

The gauge symmetry principles of the Yang–Mills field of 1954 provide the solid rock foundation for the Standard Model of particle physics. To give masses to the quarks and leptons, however, SM calls on the solitary Higgs field using a set of mysterious complex Yukawa coupling matrices.

We enrich the SM by reducing the Yukawa coupling matrices to a single Yukawa coupling constant, and endowing it with a family of Higgs fields that are degenerate in mass.

The recent experimental discovery of the Higgs resonance at 125.09 ± 0.21 GeV does not preclude this possibility. Instead, it presents an opportunity to explore the interference effects in background events at the LHC.

We present a study based on the maximally symmetric Higgs potential in a leading hierarchy scenario.

Lepton flavor violation decays are channels which may lead to fundamental discoveries in the forthcoming years and this makes it an exciting research field for beyond the Standard Model (SM) searches. In this work, we present an analysis of the lepton flavor violation decays $l_{\alpha }\to 3l_{\beta }$ in Minimal R-symmetric Supersymmetric Standard Model. The prediction for $\mathrm{\text{BR}}(l_{\alpha }\to 3l_{\beta })$ depends on the off-diagonal entries of the slepton mass matrix. The contributions to Wilson coefficients can be classified into Higgs penguins, photon penguins, Z penguins and box diagrams. It shows the contribution from Z penguins dominates the predictions for $\mathrm{\text{BR}}(l_{\alpha }\to 3l_{\beta })$, and the contributions from Higgs penguins and box diagrams play different roles in different decay channels. The theoretical predictions for $\mathrm{\text{BR}}(l_{\alpha }\to 3l_{\beta })$ can reach the future experimental limits, and the channels are very promising to be observed in near future experiment.

The one-loop contributions to the flavor-changing neutral current decays of the top quark into a light quark and a gauge boson or Higgs boson, namely, $t\to qV,qh$, with q being u or c, and V being $\gamma$, g, or Z, are analyzed in this study within the framework of the minimal R-symmetric supersymmetric standard model. The charginos in this model have been separated into two sets, i.e. $\chi$-chargino and $\rho$-chargino. The numerical results reveal that gluino or $\rho$-chargino predominantly dictate the predictions for BR ($t\to qV,qh$), while the impact of neutralino or $\chi$-chargino contributions is insignificant. By incorporating the constraints imposed by the squark mixing parameters from $\bar{B}\to X_s\gamma$ and $B_{d,s}^0\to {\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$, the theoretical predictions for BR($t\to qg$) can be significantly augmented to approximately $\mathcal{𝒪}(10^{-5}-10^{-6})$. On the other hand, the values of BR($t\to q\gamma ,qZ,qh$) are predicted to be at least four orders of magnitude below the current experimental limits.

In the context of an Enriched Standard Model, we introduce a new r-symmetry in the extended SU(2)_L × U(1)_Y × U(1)_R model and show how a particularly simple scenario results in a near degeneracy of masses in the 126 GeV region, with a hierarchy of heavier masses suggested by the quark and lepton texture mass matrices.

There are interesting consequences of their 2γ decay widths.
