Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be submitted to the relevant Regional Editor through online submission at http://www.editorialmanager.com/wspc-jcsc/login.asp. Papers simultaneously submitted to more than one Regional Editor will not be considered for publication.
- Submission of a manuscript manifests the fact that it has been neither copyrighted, published, nor submitted or accepted for publication elsewhere, unless otherwise stated by the author. The primary objective is to publish technical materials not available elsewhere, but on occasion materials of unusual merit that have appeared or will appear before other audiences will be published. Once a paper is accepted, authors are assumed to cede copyrights of their paper over to the Publisher.
- Submission fee
The standard submission fee shall be US$75.
- Upon receipt of the paper and the submission fee, the Editorial Board of the JCSC will review the paper to make sure that it meets minimum standards of rigor and presentation, and the topic is of enough broad interest to the potential readership of the journal. If the paper is not deemed to meet the previous criteria, the submission fees shall not be refunded to the author.
- When the Editorial Board decides that the paper meets those standards, the paper will be assigned to referees and the author will be notified that the paper has entered the review process. Once the paper is assigned to referees, submission fees are non-refundable.
- Style Guidelines:
- The first page of the paper should include title of the paper and list of authors with their affiliations and email addresses. It should also indicate the name of the corresponding author.
- The manuscript, including a 100- to 250-word abstract, references, tables, figures, and figure captions should be clearly typed in good English. Type it on good letter-sized paper with double-spacing and with ample margins around the text.
- Legible, compact notation should be used, conforming to current practice. Each symbol must be clear and properly aligned to distinguish superscripts and subscripts. Clear distinction must be made where confusion might arise, i.e., between certain capital- and lower-case letters, the letters v and n, the letter O and zero, etc.
- Footnotes should be indicated consecutively in the text with superscript lower-case letters. References should be cited in the text as consecutive superscript numerals and the list placed at the end of the article. The preferred format is indicated below:
- T. R. Cuthbert, Jr., Circuit Design Using Personal Computers (John-Wiley, New York, 1983), p. 150.
- E. S. Kuh and J. D. Patterson, Design theory of optimum negative-resistance amplifiers, Proc. IRE 49 (1961) 1043–1050.
- R. W. Lucky, Communication with urceolate signals, Palimpsest on Communications, ed. N. C. Baskerville (Pleasantville, New York, 1978), Chapter 2, pp. 74–76.
- B. Lewin, SONET equipment availability requirements, Proc. Globecom, Texas, USA, November 1989, pp. 1516–1521.
- Tables and figures are also numbered in the order in which they are cited in the text. Each table and each figure should occupy a separate page. All essential details of each figure must be legible for reduction to a minimum of 50% of their original size. The names of the authors and figure number should be typed or clearly written at the bottom of each figure. A list of figure captions should be given on a separate sheet.
- All submitted papers will be acknowledged and refereed, but they will not be returned to the authors. There is no page charge. A pdf version of each published article/paper will be provided to the first-named author/ corresponding author free-of-charge in lieu of offprints.
Manuscripts can also be sent to the publisher via Web-based submission.
